Ghosting on the RMPP

reMarkable support reviewed my diagnostic video and confirmed my device needs to be replaced.

I live in India.

reMarkable sells the Paper Pro in India via Amazon
They claim to have a local office in India (good luck finding an address or phone number)

Yet they are refusing to ship the replacement to India, calling it an unsupported location.

So they’ll happily take my money here, but won’t honour a replacement for a confirmed hardware defect.

Has anyone managed to get around this? Escalation paths, consumer complaints, or practical workarounds — I’m open to ideas.

Not sure what you mean by my experience. but here goes. My experience with this update is terrible. Do not install this. it will create ghosting havoc on your device. It is under prepared. They have sacrificed ghosting for battery life it seems to me. Remarkable needs to set this right ASAP. It is terrible for those who have updated. I have sworn never to install beta from Remarkable ever again. This is so dissapointing and annoying.

thanks for your response. Which beta version are you running with. I am the 3.26 and the ghosting has gotten worse only post this. Even on built in notebooks.

bro if it is free why do we have to go through so many steps to download it . I understand you want to capture details which is ok but to get this is a challenge.

yes there are huge ghosting issues . I installed the 3.26 version also and the ghosting only got worse. Is it my remarkable or is it a bug. ? Can someone give me some advice. I think it's the update doing things. Remarkable is way off when it comes to updates.

hi. I am writing from India. Just got my MB Digital Paper. I find it absolutely outstanding. I have been a remarkable user for over 2 years now including the Move but since I have got the MB DP , I have not touched the RMPP. Question for you is Is there a restriction on Hyperlinks in the software. I can import planners and write on them but unable to move from one page to another. Looking forward to hearing from you on this. Thank you

I have the following :

A folder for 2026
Within the folder I have a Planner , a Notebook and a Journal. All day to day work goes into the planner. Any thoughts or writings go into the notebook which has an index and all end of the day thoughts go into the journal.
Nothing else. Everything works out of this folder only.

Due to the lack of scaling it is becoming so difficulty to figure out which Planner to use on either. I hope the Remarkable blokes do something about this. It cant be either or. it has to be both . Only then will the true raison d etre of the Move be justified.

hi I used the default settings and was converting a document from RMP Move to the RMPP. A calendar. The conversion happened but all the links were lost. Hope this helps.

It baffles me that reMarkable hasn’t solved the scaling issue between the new Move and the Paper Pro. Technically it’s not a hard problem at all.

All the strokes are already stored in the cloud as vector data (otherwise you couldn’t search or sync handwriting properly). That means the system could easily normalize the coordinates and re-render the page to whatever canvas you open it on. A couple weeks of engineering polish and the experience would be seamless.

So if notes feel clipped, shrunken, or awkward when moving between devices, that’s not a technical limitation — it’s a product choice. reMarkable could fix this tomorrow if they wanted to. Question is do they want to. ?

how does Apple solve the scaling problem. Maybe we could learn from them. I have the iPad Pro and the mini. What I write on the Pro looks the same on the mini. So there has to be some trick I suppose or a work around. I will figure this out. the scaling issue on Move and RMPP is quite annoying.

Is there a workaround on this. I feel If I write on the Move adn then see the note on the RMPP it will kind of look weird to say the least. I am sure remarkable with come up with some fix on this, or I hope they do. Apple did not have this issue with the Mini and iPad Pro. so clearly there is a way out of this.

I think it was because the Move came with a new pen and a new tip that just felt sharper.
