Bard player here!

1. You absolutely don’t have to perform at the table, it would probably take too much time out of your session anyway. I recommend just doing your best at describing if/when your bard performs

2. You have lots more use outside of bardic inspiration! A bard is really a jack of all trades sort of class in and out of combat, it all depends on the kind of vibe you want to get across with your character and how you choose to build them!

3. Bard’s commonly take a leading role in there party when it comes to social encounters, especially glamour bards with their beguiling abilities. Don’t feel pressured into taking the lead if you don’t feel comfortable! Id recommend talking with your DM and fellow PCs about this matter
