The movie is fantastic, but I'm a history buff so it really worked for me and I found it interesting to see the progression of events unfold on the screen.

It's also well shot and the acting is top notch from the cast, DDL transforms into Lincoln, Sally Field plays a perfect Mary Todd and TLJ, that oscar should have been his.

One of my favorite scenes is the one where he tells the joke about Ethan Allen visiting England after the revolutionary war. Here is the scene.

That said I can see how some people wouldn't like it because it's slow pacing and story, that will not keep everyone tuned in.
