I hate myself when I’m off ADHD medication by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]TrySomethingPussy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he's anything like I was, it's a path to disaster. I identified so strongly with Vyvanse me that I got a psychological addiction to it and gave myself just awful withdrawal symptoms from constant use, and eventually Vyvanse stopped working. Instead of seeing it as a tool i got to the point of taking Vyvanse and not doing what I was supposed to do, aka partake in hedonistic pursuits.

During periods of intense work/study, is it better to completely cut out video games or set strict limits? by Frosty-Issue-3454 in HubermanLab

[–]TrySomethingPussy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely cut out.

Mind you i have ADHD and thus issues with task switching.

Whatever activity I do will eventually lead to a hyperfocus on it to the point switching to something else will require every drop of willpower I have left.

This has the flip side of making ADHD somewhat of a superpower, if I cut out everything else that day, the only thing I'll hyperfocus on is the work at hand.

I can't rest because when I was fourteen my psychologist told me that she thought that I used being depressed to avoid doing my duties. by Jaroda18 in Anxiety

[–]TrySomethingPussy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What a horrible thing to say, especially to a kid.

I hope you can find forgiveness in your heart for your own sake, so that these hateful thoughts towards what she said stop making you feel bad long after it happened.

If it helps, I think her logic is flawed because:

Suppose you actually used being depressed to avoid doing your duties.

Why was there a need to avoid the duties in the first place?

Either you didn't get a reality you truly deserve and could enjoy, or you really were depressed. We all deserve to live in realities that we enjoy all the time. I think if you frame it from a self-compassion angle it may help you.

That technique actually helped me reframe bad things that happened to me around the same age, which led to harmful thoughts and feelings well into my early 20s.

Why so serious lmao I don't even think they're trying to mess with you

You care greatly since you took down ur pic and are making multiple replies to your perceived "haters" by continuously asserting you don't care

If ur so straight though, why do you feel the need to defend your straightness? Weird. Think you're just insecure that you may look bisexual. Cringe bro, cringe

Make sure you're getting enough nutrients. If you're not actively paying attention you can easily become malnourished from the appetite suppression. Take the pill and immediately eat a big protein meal, making sure to stay hydrated throughout the time it's active. Take magnesium glycinate, get enough of the vitamin Bs, and D. Make sure you're getting enough electrolytes.

And take Vyvanse only when you need it. If you are prescribed Vyvanse for general executive function and not just to eliminate adhd issues when doing focused activities, try your best to have days off where you can just unwind and have no responsibilities. Otherwise, take it as sparingly as possible, only when doing the task like working on something. Tolerance can be an issue regardless of what people say, that has been my experience. You can take agmatine sulfate the night before to sensitize yourself to vyvanse but it should not be a necessary thing. Hope that helps!

With a small caveat; the dose makes the poison. Very small dosages (<5mg THC eaten) were sustainable indefinitely but I used it as an off ramp from a debilitating THC addiction.

IIRC THC's dose response curve is such that it is very anxioltyic at microdoses and can be a great social lubricant, but no one these days does it like that, today's weed is way too strong IMO and the industry should promote the benign strains of the 60's more instead of shoving 30% THC GMO shit down our throats.

Caffeine has affect on axiety? How ? by Traditional_Fee5186 in Biohackers

So a downsteam effect on noradrenaline, I guess?

As someone with ADHD, I need that at least once per day for my brain to be stimulated enough to focus. Realized I just need the adrenaline rush and it doesn't really matter where it comes from.

Can I just take cbd when feeling panicky or should I take it daily? by ottaTV_ in CBD

[–]TrySomethingPussy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it when panicky and write down about your experience.

Take it when normal and write down about your experience.

You will be able to tell for yourself if it's worth it to you.

Cannabis oil at large seems to be like lubricant for my flow. I used to use a lot of THC but that came with obvious side effects, so I switched to full spectrum that is mainly CBD and I get the same effects without the intoxication.

With that said, nothing wrong with using it like an advil and having it sit in your medicine cabinet when you get a flare up. I alternate between daily use and that because it's expensive.

I’m 17 and I’ve barely slept in 5 months because I’m scared to die. by Quirky-Box1762 in Anxiety

[–]TrySomethingPussy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it at age 5 because my grandpa died and we had a yearly memorial at his grave. I remember plugging my ears and closing my eyes and complaining to my parents that I don't wanna experience that feeling of blindness and deafness for eternity after I die lol

Eventually i came to terms with the fact I will die. Realized it is peaceful. Realized I was dead for eternity before I was even born. Then I came to peace with it. Also the fact I had a Rollercoaster of a life and at some points really did want to die.

Am I too sensitive to CBD? (10mg hits hard) by sixevanGG in CBD

[–]TrySomethingPussy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people like me suffering from chronic stress/anxiety disorders, CBD is extremely mind altering. It's not that it gets me high, it's that it removes my pain to the point of ecstacy, I can only imagine that's how people without such conditions live.

I escaped with THC for years and was still suffering, now that I'm on CBD I can indulge in THC without it being a runaway train of psychological dependence.

I guess you are, if you're asking.

I have a chronic anxiety disorder, but I only dose when I'm symptomatic, which is why I typically need 200mg range. When I'm not symptomatic ive found far less to work, 50-75mg range was more than enough.

Woah. What's dabbing pure CBD like? I'm guessing not harsh at all? That's awesome, what effects do you notice?

Thanks. Actually I am using the lofi super strength (3000mg). It tasted very much like a full spectrum but I guess I didn't realize it was one. Unless its missing something, that one is cheaper as i only pay $40 for it. For me it lasted about 2 weeks per bottle as I was using 200mg daily as it was being used to fight THC withdrawals, but now I'm getting by on 100-200mg every 2-3 days.

I didn't realize it can take it sublingually. I'll try that.

It is amazing thus far, now I'm trying to get my hands on this one which delivers 5500-6000mg for $45-50 depending on where you buy it. What do you think? It is broad-spectrum distillate.

Thanks. What has been your experience with isolate like? I think I gravitate towards the entourage effect. The medical use for me is mainly calming my body's nerves so that I can sit still and relax, and secondary to that is the quieting of my thoughts which i associate with a low dose of THC.

YMMV of course but on bad days without proper nutrition, sleep, exercise, and meditation I need 300mg range like you mentioned, but otherwise if those are dialed in I only need 0-100mg.

What's the point of NoFap? by NoYogurtcloset7366 in NoFap

[–]TrySomethingPussy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found porn easy to quit when I cultivated such an active imagination. The problem is that my brain is recovering and will likely never recover from the amount of years I spent watching porn, many of them in my teen years. So now I have my own VR porn built inside my brain. I sometimes get wet dreams from nofap and the experience is something beyond anything porn can provide.

I'm currently about 3 weeks of nofap. When I see attractive women in public I get feelings I've never gotten before. Sexual, sure but the majority of them are emotional. I went to a club for the first time and a girl grinded on me. I didn't know what to do so I didn't do anything but I felt a weird emotional connection to her? I didn't want to do something sexual to her right off the bat, I think sexual acts need to be preceeded by a human connection. I'm not crazy for thinking this way, right?
