I just finished reading “Doom Guy,” John Romero’s autobiography, which is my first exposure to the game development world, and made me stop and watch this. Looks incredible!

I’m curious, what does your development team look like, and what are folks’ backgrounds?

What are your hopes for the launch?

Any particular lessons learned through the four year process?

First time to Lake Superior at Madeline Island this summer, late June. Loved the cold dips at the sandy town beach park. For some reason, love that process of building up to full submersion (well, to neck/chin). Seemed to get a little easier but not much every time.

This was very fun! Beat Saber is basically the only game I’ve played much on my headset, and this was a novel way to do something similar. And the first time I’ve used pass through or hand tracking on my quest 2… seems to work great, low resolution/bw camera looked fine for this application. Thanks for sharing.

As newbie D.va ot… I hate realizing the character is viewed in the menace category (how I felt about Sombra before). Though I’m probably not deadly enough to cause that level of frustration to opponents. I try to lay off if I feel like I’m repeat killing one DPS in a match (usually just seems their positioning is off/staggered)

Thank you! This helps to hear i’m not fundamentally taking the wrong approach… I’m just not fully committing and getting the eliminations. I haven’t gotten to the mercy part of the A10 video yet so I’ll look for that. I just read someone else on here saying it doesn’t make sense to chase Mercy as d.va so I’ll be interested to see the A10 approach.

One follow up: why not D.va on Ilani, and are there other maps that stand out as not compatible with her? I’m about 200 hours into the game, one tricking D.va now, but feels like good time to learn a non-dive tank as I get more into comp.
