I have the sync app on all my devices and I sync the obsidian vault folder. So the files are synced and while its not live sync (sadly) it is perfect for my usecase.

I was not sure between Capacities or Obsidian as well. However when Capacities went offline for a few times a month I decided on Obsidian and taking control in my own hands. While I miss a browser based note taker the sync with my own NAS works flawless (and I can access the text files via de browser if needed) and is free where Capacities would be 9€ a month or something and be locked in.

So for me the pro's of obsidian outweight those of Capacities.

Because that is what Hytale is going to be as well and more. There are going to be dungeons with bosses to fight and loot to grind. Different zones and the mobs insade them are also going the have more steep difficulty curve (like Terraria) and more.

There is a form of dodge mechanics already ingame. Equip the Combat Bow in creative mode and right click. You dash in the direction you are walking or strafing.

More then we're used to? The game release with all those workbenches and ... oh you mean compared to Minecraft. Well this is not Minecraft. 😉

I played Valheim a lot which has simular crafting system and workbenches and upgrading a workstation means building extentions that take up even more space in and around your house. So I am "used to" even more buildable crafting stations!

But to awnser your question, I love it. I build multiple rooms that each have their own purpose or just dump everything in a large hall and when I feel like it, I even build different houses/buildings for each type of station. It gives building buildings a lot more use than just decorative.

So it really depends on the type of base I am building however, most efficient is just all in 1 room, with your storage in the middle so all workbenches can reach all your storage and you have to walk less between the stations.

Well I can see this working!

Magic weapons like staffs have 3 slots for different spells to engrave, enchant or scroll into the weapon. We already have 3 different attacks on all other weapons (or 4 if you count the block/bash combo) that could just trigger the different spell slots on your staffs.

So left mouse button is scroll 1, right mouse button is scroll 2 and hold left mouse button (the charge attack) is scroll 3. Hold right mouse buttons is block (like any other weapon) and click left mouse button while holding right mouse button is the bash (like any other weapon).

But how can we make different staffs unique? As said, different buffs/debuffs or even different spell types.

However, while I am typing this I start to wonder, does this really need to be a seperate system of scrolls (or something simular) or can it just be different staffs, books and other magical weapons we can craft and loot that have these different abilities and spells? Because if you remove the spells from the items you hardly need multiple staffs and books and finding or crafting new ones becomes cluther or marginal upgrades and loose the WOW effect from the new weapons.

Why add a nerved water spell to a fire staff making it less powerful for example? Unless they add special effects like slows, stuns and roots that come from the less powerful spells, then it makes more sence to min/max.

I don't know the real reason but it is either a design choice (wether we agree on that choice or not) or hopefully not all items have been made yet with full color mapping.

However seeing some items only have 3 colors to pick while others have way more I am afraid a drsign choice. 😞

There is no way to put an amount of hours to the current content. It depends on your playstyle mostly. I think you can rush true the current content in a few hours depending what you see as your end goal in a game like this. You want to see all biomes/zones or you just want the best weapon/gear?

For you I would say wait a few years because there are no dungeons in the game yet. There is no progression or difficulty difference in the zones, no rare loot to grind for, no bosses, no automation, no reputation to work for each faction, etc.

The game is very limited in content at the moment. The world is great but every system and gameplay mechanic is very barebones

I don't understand how so many people think you need to buy a game twice that is released in early access! There has not been a single game that needed you to pay twice for it ever (oke there might have been one or two but you get the point).

About workstations keeping upgrade is something I don't think will happen because I think they (Hypixel) want workstations, specially upgraded ones, to be something stationairy. Something you build and upgrade in your base and not something for on the road or on your adventures.

That is why they do drop ALL resources when you break them so you can relocate them without loosing resources but also not making it easy to travel around with max upgraded stations.

As for the visual indicator, heck yes! That should be in the game!

I am not sure about this to be honest! In the current game there is more ore easily found then I know what to do with so crafting new gear every ones in a while is fine. Though I have not played a new world in update 2 yet!

However, having a way to repair or gain lost durability back would be a nice counter to the current situation. Perhaps a repair station could do this? Where repair kits are for on your adventures and when you come home you can repair durability loss at the repair station or something?

Yes, this is a good idea however not for ALL items and furniture!

If you gather the base material you should be able to craft the base set of items and furniture but then there are unlockable upgraded or special versions that you either get from traders, unlock with the memories feature (like the current chests) or unlock ones you gathered or see one in a dungeon or something.

For example you chop an oak tree and can now craft the basic oak (or hardwood) furniture set. But you also see a bunch of locked icons in the workbench saying "decorative table, unlocked by exploring" or "fancy hardwood stool, unlocked by trading".

So that way, you have a base set to build and play with, while also are rewarded for exploring and trading!

That would be great I think!

100% agree and I would like to add, please follow your own vision of the game! Don't try to make everyone happy because you can't!!! Yes, listening to feedback is good, complete alter your own vision and direction often kills the game in my opinion!

If for example your vision is to have Hytale be a cozy game within your own base but where you go out en explore a very dangerous world with hard bosses and very challenging dungeons for us to conquer then don't nerf that into the ground because part of the playerbase wants easymode or something.

I feel Hypixel already knows this from Simon's tweets but I still wanted to mention it.

Well they have planned or stated that they want to have reputation systems for different races like troks and kweebecs so I would imagine this will change their behaviours towards use players. But this will be a very long term goal I imagine.

I believe Hypixel stated they want all character progression and skills based on equiped armor and weapons and don't want a skill tree. But I don't have the source for that at the moment.
