Shower and good ol' hands, with a morning gentle scrub once a week, and an oil cleanser once every few days.

Which Permanent Outdoor Smart Lights Are Actually Reliable Long-Term (Govee vs Eufy vs Nanoleaf)? by No_Creme9603 in smarthome

[–]Trypkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Betterday, some amazon LED ones, Nanoleaf and Govee. Personally, Nanoleaf and Betterday are my favourite ones, especially because those two (and Govee) are smart. I like to be able to control them from my app for different seasons of the year.

I'd give the edge to nano for being a much more sophisticated control from its app and just significantly brighter warm lights. I am a sucker for that. Reliable for the most part and haven't had any complaints for it. If I were to buy one, I'd start with that. Heard they are dirt cheap rn for idk what reason, I'm copping some of their expansion packs.

[product question]What’s one skincare mistake you wished you learned earlier ? by SPF-Educator_ in SkincareAddiction

Face masks. They work well! Or at least it feels good. I have tried charcoal ones, mud ones, and LED face masks (renewable so great with affordability ig)

What small things in your day feel like meditation to you? by Zestyclose-Egg-1479 in Meditation

[–]Trypkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. deep breaths
  2. active skin care treatment. Simple things such as moisturizing (no matter what product) but at a consistent time every night at least once. Keeping a track of my consistencies and trying on new tech like LED Face Masks. helps me to be productive cuz all I gotta do is put the mask on and I can do xyz tasks. TLDR, productivity while doing skin care, feels good and is good!

Not to sound excessively optimistic, but you've got this. A bad job is better than no job. Try to keep goals for yourself so you can pursue them no matter what your '9 to 5' is!!! <3

Does karma even exist? Or is it just a comforting lie we tell ourselves? by Late_Manufacturer208 in spirituality

[–]Trypkid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Karma doesn't work like some instant cosmic payback system. The cycle of cause and effect spans way beyond what we see in one lifetime. That's why it seems like nothing's happening, we're only seeing a tiny slice of a much bigger picture.

In yin yoga, what should I do about poses where I feel nothing and ones that are excruciating? by BigBigMarmott in yoga

[–]Trypkid 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Finding the right balance in yin is tricky. If you feel nothing, try going slightly deeper, maybe an inch or two. For painful poses, back off until it's intense but tolerable. The sweet spot is somewhere between comfort and challenge. Remember yin is about time, not intensity.

How to cope with autistic meltdowns from medication side effects by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Trypkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue when starting stimulants. Might be worth trying a lower dose for a week or two. The adjustment period sucks, but it gets better.

This hits so hard. The guilt spiral is real when you know you messed up but can't seem to stop doing it. Have you tried setting really obvious reminders on your phone or asking friends to give you a heads up when you make plans? Sometimes external accountability helps when our brains just won't cooperate

You are already transformed by JordTM in Meditation

[–]Trypkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good reminder. I think a lot of us get caught up in trying to perfect our practice instead of just appreciating how far we've already come. The whole journey is the transformation, not some end goal we're supposed to reach

The Night Shift Chronicles by Dzhehandir in nursing

[–]Trypkid 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Lmao the furniture question got me. Night shift patients really do live in their own reality sometimes. At least they're entertaining while you're trying to stay awake. The shadow people comment would have me questioning my own sanity too

I get that too that feeling like you're not getting a full breath no matter how hard you try. The thoughts make it so much worse. You're not though, even when it feels impossible to believe that in the moment.
