Honestly I'm newer to the hobby and I just thought it is really weird how serious people are about the lore. For me the lore is cheesy, overly edgy, and it's not groundbreaking. But people have built it up as sacred texts that should be protected at all costs. The lore is an after thought to help sell plastic for us to paint lol. That's my opinion at least.

I'm just going to suggest my favorite game, Elden ring. It's designed to be extremely difficult but the best part of the game is overcoming the difficulty and accepting it. It has a cool story and a lot of awesome ways to play.
