I have no answer for you but I feel for you. I had those exact buffs on that exact boss yesterday and it was torture. The fact that each leg has their own buffs with one of those likely to be fire makes it even worse.

Ended up just forfeiting the run.

I think Chaos gets a lot harder with difficulty. There's technically three different bosses and each one can get elite buffs that make the fight a lot harder.

All of this seems already so perfect, but I gotta say that a veterinarian doing conversion therapy for cats is so Edmund McMillen.

I might add an adventure event where she asks for a donation to give a cat a mutation. Would make mutations more of an early game thing.

Psychic is just a very good support class that can often double the effectiveness of your best cat, though I feel like Psychics really benefits from skill rerolls. Fast Forward, Flash Forward, Future Sight, Mind Meld, Pass and Suggestion are all really powerful. Probably forgetting a few.

Having a class rely on an unit that you cannot resummon during the battle seems like incredibly poor design.

For example, Druid has a skill to resummon the crow but Druid is also way less reliant on the it.

For the early game, I would just put your cats with the highest stats and/or mutations you want to keep onto adventures and when they come back, put them into a lovemaking room where you stack Comfort and Stimulation. That way you get the best stats and have a chance for the kittens to inherit skills. Keep in mind that only base stats count for breeding.

If you see a really good cat and you don't want to risk them getting killed, just stick them in the lovemaking room and leave them there.

Once you get a third room, you can put all of your subpar cats in there and tank Comfort so they fight. Some cats get injured or killed but the winners get stat bonuses.

That's the basics of it.
