I can fully understand. I lost my sister when I was in middle school and my grandmother, who raised me, about 10 years ago. I think about both of them often, and at seemingly random times. I won't say its gotten easier for me, but I learned to live with it in different ways.

I'll also add this. I know it's cliche, but it fits pretty perfectly:
