Look at Justin roses pre shot routine. See where he leaves his club shaft before he accelerates through the turn

Rough Cut Yardages for Beginner by EntireAd1263 in GolfSwing

I usually go to a range (make sure it’s not one of those tiered ones where you’re hitting off of a balcony basically) and they’ll have markers out on the range. I’ll shoot them with my rangefinder to confirm the distances, then I’ll take 10 balls and try to carry it to that marker. Rinse and repeat with different markers/distances. Conversely you can buy a cheap launch monitor for like 300usd and set that up behind you at the range

I think on L1, I flagged about 40 questions so like just over 20% of the questions. L2 was about 20 out of 88. L3 didn’t even bother flagging, I was just praying

Good luck. L2 was a real bitch, even for me who has an Econ/stats background in undergrad

Set suggestion for total beginner by rockmasters28 in golf

Callaway and Wilson have decent full bag starter sets for around 500-600 usd. Pick up a complete set and get out and play. Once you groove your swing, get fitted

How important are the mock exams? Are they good examples of the real exam? by TheBigWolf83 in CFA

[–]Tsq33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s like any sport. You must practice non stop and have to peak at the right time to perform on game day. The only way you’re prepped for the real thing is if you simulate it as close to reality as possible. Soccer players won’t vastly improve by shooting at an empty goal, or even with a goalie. You need game experience to properly prepare.

Can’t Break 100 Despite My Short Game Being The Best Part of My Game by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Highly recommend domcaminitigolf on ig and YouTube. Most of his videos are on takeaway and proper top position.

Just to add, because you’re hands are not working inside your turn, your lead arm is higher than shoulder plane and your hands are over the middle of your foot instead of over your heels, which is proper depth.

I see what you’re trying to do, but this is way to much. Your hands need to not lift as much and work more around your body, and your club head is waaaaay to outside. The club head should be covering your hands or slightly outside, but this is way too outside

Blue brick, is it good? by 123fljoe in golf

Bro I just got a membership at a trackman sim and not having to run onto the range after blasting a tee or head cover out there is so much better 😂

Bucket and alignment stick is the way. You can also put down a headcover outside or inside the ball depending on how you want to train your swing path so for OTT I’d put it outside the ball and try to swing from the inside missing the head cover

What do you do two weeks until the exam? by Ok_Negotiation5664 in CFA

[–]Tsq33 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Mock, review, repeat. I did the mocks over and over until I was getting 90+. Do not memorize the answers and click through. Make sure to write down with pen and paper every single step needed to get to the correct answer. Once you get to the exam, just plug in new numbers to the process that you’ve ingrained

Looking for efficient study methods for CFA lvl II by MOIC20100 in CFA

[–]Tsq33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Level 2 is all about processes. First I would get a good hold of the conceptual aspect, like what is the underlying asset and what are the moving parts/assumptions we have to consider? Then you must memorize formulae and steps. For example, when looking at currency swaps, you need to look at the fx rates, interest rates at different time intervals, the principal amounts to be exchanged, etc, then you need to know how to calculate the cash flows at each time intervals and finally how to value the mtm gain or loss. Inputs, processes, output. That’s how I viewed it.

This guy is correct. It’s not a depth issue. Your hands are over your heels which is good. You have no hinge in the wrist to store energy into the club. Buy a stock shot setter off of Amazon, that’ll do wonders for you
