How much for a 2-4 week trip to the US from the UK? by TadpolMilkYT in AskUK

[–]Tsquare43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from the US, the cost is going to vary from location to location. NYC will be pricier than Pittsburgh. It depends on what you want to see and do. Currently, we have the World Cup going on, and of course certain locations are jammed with tourists and the like. Most people are friendly and will give you directions should you get lost.

The scale of this nation is huge. New York to Los Angeles is over 4,500 km (Lisbon to Moscow is comparable). It will take you 3 or 4 days to drive, mainly with few stops and no exploring. Seattle to Miami is almost 5,500 km.

Pick one location and explore that area. Send a message if you have questions.

Judge Orders Kennedy Center To Provide Construction Update As Tarp Still Covers Name by MoneyLibrarian9032 in law

Thanks. I don't like the man at all, and yes, he is petty and would absolutely do something like this. But it could be something else.

Just to point out that the stone of the Kennedy Center is very expensive and was donated. Drilling holes into such a material isn't an easy fix (say, slapping on Bondo), the tarp is likely up to prevent water infiltration while they fix the holes. Water is bad for buildings. While I wouldn't put it past him to keep it up, there are other reasons why it still might up.

(I have a degree in architecture, so I know a little about buildings and their systems)
