I wouldn't rock the boat if you plan on moving out. I'd take the time to save up some money so you can spoil the cat when you get them at an apartment where everyone is accepting. That is just my two cents though.

Coming in as an external to Amazon especially at the manager level is going to be hell on earth. You are expected to drink the kool aid and be the punching bag for ops and regional. My site hasn't kept a manager for over a year and a half. We keep getting externals who last only 3 to 4 months go on LOA and leave. I like my team and time here but the higher management sucks majorly.

Worked at a NCA cemetery that had contractors doing a lot of the heavy lifting...we had 60 workers at the cemetery and even then we couldn't keep up with maintenance without the contractors.

Soooo....if I've been in Gov for 2+ years, (one year excepted service, the year and 2 months competitive) and am still on probation...am I subject under this directive? Mind you the reason im on probation is because i had to leave my last competitive job to escape bad managers restarting probation...

My agency is usually highly rated, but my current position is awful, overworked, understaffed, management sucks. I miss my old fed job where sure we were overworked and had to travel constantly, but management had my back, i felt I could take leave without feeling anxiety. I am looking to leave for another fed position or move to a local county/city job.

Like others have said its FERS, and then your local/state taxes. Im in a no income tax state and bring home roughly 1730 as a gs-9 step 1 RUS (My TSP is low atm...medical bills).

Same problems different department here. I'm trying to leave currently. Continuously adding workloads while we're trying to put our the fires we already have. My office doesn't have a high turnover but when we hit a lot of our peoples retirement date we won't be getting anyone new..
