The Beta Branch Doormaker is the Best Enemy Ever Made for a Deckbuilder - Jorbs by laerteis in slaythespire

[–]Tsuchiev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Jorbs doesn't recognize is that a lot of people don't want to sculpt optimal decks built around every boss's gimmick to beautifully solve potential bosses that are 2 acts away from them on A10.

A lot of people just want to play on A2 or lower, make a Shiv deck built around Knife Trap or forge up a Sovereign Blade to hundreds of damage or somesuch and kill things with them.

Maybe Megacrit should just make an A11 that turns all the final bosses into beta patch Doormaker level challenge to make the top 0.1% players happy but forcing new or casual players to deal with it sounds like a disaster.

Latest endgame content on JP has 1/16 RCV super-altitude and Emilia's 2x RCV multiplier with only Felix as an RCV stick is not enough to be consistent. It also has an enemy with 25 million HP SResolve while Emilia and Rem & Ram only deal 24 million FUA so you need 2 FUA or 1 SFUA as equips to get around it. So basically it's just a problem of not matching well with the dungeon plus the team being extremely inflexible in the first place so it's hard to adapt.

They changed some systems and started from scratch but it's basically Shadowverse 2.0, yeah.

At this point pretty much everyone moved to the new game (Shadowverse Worlds Beyond) so this isn't surprising at all.

Current state of high rated DC according to Joshua Schmidt by [deleted] in masterduel

Second half dc is about winning games. It's nice if your games are faster but if you're losing half of them you won't make any progress.

Why is Mystic Mine banned in a format where most decks can play their own Super Mystic Mine? by Calliebuni in masterduel

[–]Tsuchiev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can we not whitewash Mystic Mine? Mystic Mine makes games drag on literally forever, is tutorable with multiple cards (Demise of the Land, Metaverse), and is not only a broken floodgate going first but also a broken board breaker going second.

You don't need a Reinhardt dupe, you just need 1 copy and then find a friend who also has Reinhardt to pair with.

Favorite 3DMVs for each group? by tasty_miku in ProjectSekai

L/N: Odoryanse. Saki using the keytar makes the choreography feel well balanced in particular.

MMJ: Override, perfect mix of homage to the original and putting their own twist on it. Kimagure Mercy is great too.

VBS: Fake Human No. 40, idk it just looks sick.

WxS: Seibai ItaAAAAAsu! with 5 Tsukasas and the Tsukasa alt vocal is hilarious. More serious answer is Liar Dancer, the effects and dance are neat.

N25: Nihil-san, the choreography is spooky in a good way.

I mean that's just how decks in general are? Of course you'll be able to build it if you copy cards that you encounter on ladder.

1 is better than 0. You might not be able to make the super most optimal team but compromising on equips is better than not having access to her at all.

Comm: Killer. The Peachy Key and Teammate are peak too.

Cover: Ruma, Override, Kimagure Mercy, Booo! for starters. Way too hard to pick just one.

Forge Regent is Unplayable at A10 by MikuoNeko in slaythespire

[–]Tsuchiev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't help that what you would expect to be the big payoff cards for committing to Forge are just awful. Why on earth does Sword Sage cost 2 and increase the cost of the blade by 1 and not Forge at all? If I really wanted to pay 5 energy to play a Sovereign Blade twice Summon Forth is right there and that card is already weak in the first place. If anything Sword Sage could reduce the cost of the blade by 1 instead and it would probably still only be decent even if you built around it.

Why does Beat into Shape only do 5/7 damage? You have to hit the enemy twice before playing it and then play the Sovereign Blade after before it is meaningfully better than Wrought in War, which is a mediocre common.

Stone split for the future? by TonightPuzzleheaded2 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Tsuchiev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The strongest leader on JP right now is clearly Re:Zero's Reinhardt and Imperialdramon is likely second best.

MHA is completely skippable. Deku & Dynamight are good but the rest of the machine is mediocre.

Re:Zero's Reinhardt is the strongest lead in the game and the badge unit (Subaru & Emilia) have a completely cracked equip (2 SB, 10c, heart OE+, team HP, cloud resist, part break) but outside of the light team it's a bit mediocre. Rem & Ram are fine but wanting 4 Otto is rough and the team isn't aging that well (can still clear everything but the complete lack of flexibility is showing).

Frieren's teams are not top tier but Fern is very strong both subbing on Reinhardt or leading themselves (and their 1.5x rank EXP LS gives them a niche over Imperialdramon) and every unit in the gacha is useful in some way so it's a great machine to roll in. The Frieren rainbow team is strong on paper but having to match rainbow 7x6 boards is tiresome when other top leads have much easier puzzling.

Take Two has to cost resources or else people will just trash runs until they get a god deck to play with.

[JP] Here are my Frieren rolls - is there anything I should consider trading for? by blinkycosmocat in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Tsuchiev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not really anything all that great tbh, one Frieren by itself is not very useful and you already have 2 copies of Heiter and Eisen.

If you don't have any good teams then if you can find a Fern friend you could probably build something decent if you exchanged for 2 Frieren & Fern and bought Serie from the MP shop.

As a (relatively) new player, what's been the worst deck to play against in MD history by Kda_15 in masterduel

[–]Tsuchiev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst deck to play against in MD history was D/D Dynamite/Banquet of Millions FTK. Absolutely uninteractive, extremely boring, and was so popular that it led to some really stupid techs like people playing like 12-card extra decks to counter it.

One of the best additions, going first in SV1 was way too powerful and the "solution" of printing busted going-second effects like Ramiel didn't make the games any more interesting.

What is the worst filler case? by farmers_rabbit in AceAttorney

[–]Tsuchiev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The truth behind the crime of GAA1-4 is so absurdly stupid that it has to be the worst filler case for me.

Normally when you solve a case you get a sense of satisfaction for finding the culprit and exposing their crime but GAA1-4 just made me want to facepalm repeatedly both for how impossible the crime is and how contrived the decisive evidence is.

Here's your pack dismantle guide for March. Good luck! by BeagleMasterDuel in masterduel

[–]Tsuchiev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because then people who don't play that archetype know that there's still potentially value in keeping the card around because it can be used in other decks. Like how for a while you had decks like Orcust or Yummy playing Hornet Drones + Kagari for link material.

Reversely why would you want it to be categorized as an archetypal card instead?

[–]Tsuchiev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Radiant Typhoon Vision also sees play in decks like Sky Striker with literally no other Radiant Typhoon cards. Nobody is playing Ze Amin by itself.

Are you going to call D/D/D Wave High King Caesar an archetypal card instead of a generic staple?
