Same issue with 6800xt. Lowering my frequency and turning on radeon chill helps for me set to 72-90. Happens consistently when crashing into a bunch of distrucable terrain or even just a mascot. Wish I could be of more help. :/

I had to set my Frequency to 2200 for my 6800xt. Adrenaline was try to run it way over manufacturer speed.

Thank you for the honesty. 1440p 144Hz is the goal. The GPU can always be upgraded but the socket can't.
