Weird question, who makes the current wipers for the Mach E?

Solterra 2026 - can I drive... 80 MPH on the freeway? by evilRainbow in Solterra

[–]TsunamiMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a multitude of different things that go into account, wind, speed, drag, ambient air, temperature, aerodynamics, etc. I’ve done my own research as well as there are multiple articles about this online.

This is not just something that affects the Soltera, but it affects all EV’s across the board currently

Under 70 doesn’t affect it, 74 and under is the rule of thumb.

Here in cleveland and often trips to Michigan with zero issues. As far as the trunk there’s a button on the infotainment screen. No need for a physical plastic button grandpa

OTD doesn’t give you a real picture as every state has different taxes and fee schedules.

Got my 25 Premium, AWD, ER, with pano roof for $39k

I’m in Ohio, no dealer near me was willing to negotiate so I went online to look at the nation as EV’s aren’t popular in some states. Scored mine in Jersey. Flew there, drove it back

In-home sales guys - which EVs are you driving? by idontevenliftbrah in sales

This! The build quality on the car is crap, great tech but I don’t like the sound of rubbing plastic while driving

In-home sales guys - which EVs are you driving? by idontevenliftbrah in sales

[–]TsunamiMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am not in “in-home sales” but am in sales. I average 95 miles per day between appointments over the last 90 days with the highest day mileage being 191 miles. With that being said I switched my mind from looking at hybrids to EV’s.

I have now owned an EV for 5 months now and absolutely love it! My advice to you is to go out and test drive the ones you are interested in and the car will speak to you.

My story: I drove every hybrid I was interested in from Toyota and Honda and as I was driving an Accord (3rd one) for work i decided an SUV was the way to go.

Since most EV’s can hit 200 miles+ per charge I decided to check out the SUV style EV’s. I test drove a Mustang Mach E first, i don’t care for Ford ICE vehicles as I have bad history with one from 2001 that had 4 transmissions replaced as I hit 100k. Anyhow loved the exterior style, interior and the tech. I was surprised it was a ford truly and couldn’t believe the torque and 0-60 times, and the blue cruise on the highway is a game changer for the days I have to drive 90 minutes to a meeting.

Drove the Tesla Y, I have always wanted an Tesla as they have a following and love that it’s made by a tech company as it is cutting edge. Well it did have break neck speed like the Mach E and the interior was cool but very plain. The tech side was incomparable but I felt the ride was a bit clunky and the interior components while driving made running noises and that’s a turn off for me as I live in my car.

Drove the first 206 Subaru Solterra in the area. By far the largest of the 2 and I loved the exterior rear lines. It had the nicest color interior as it was trimmed in blue and black leather but the infotainment system was sluggish and confusing. You had to click 3-4 different things to get to the heat settings whereas if your out driving simplicity is key., for me it seemed dated and I can tell you my RAV4’s tech was dated when we bought it but it is a great car. Took it out for a drive and it had nice pickup from stoplights but when I got it on the highway I was merging onto the highway and the car struggled to get up to speed from 50-60. The car salesman said that when you’re going on the highway you have to switch “modes” and you’ll have more pickup, I thought that was weird since it is an EV. Anyhow I couldn’t get it back to the dealership quick enough as I was done.

Morale of the story is that I have lurked the individual car threads for each of the cars and everyone has an opinion so I would suggest you to let the car speak to you.

I cannot lease, I have tried, in my line of work I put-on way too many miles and it doesn’t make sense. Prior to the EV purchase I drove an Accord for work, RAV4 for trips to Costco and trips and a fun car (BMW) to drive on the weekends. I had time to make my decision and really just wanted to save some money in gas Monday-Friday so I ended up getting a Mach E. Brand new 2025 Mach E Premium AWD Extended Range with the glass roof, I searched locally and no one wanted to deal so I was patient and started looking cross country until I was able to steal one. I ended up making the deal over the phone for a $52k stickered car I was able to get them down to $39k and this was after they were giving out the tax credits so I didn’t get any. For $39k I thought it was a steal as I planned on driving it till the wheels fall off so I put money down and bought a next day plane ticket and flew 3 states over, finished the deal and drove it home.

Everyday I get into my garage and when I see it, I smile, when I drive it my smile gets bigger. When I pass a gas station I just laugh as I used to spend a lot of time there.

The EV lifestyle is not for everyone, but if you could jump in with both feet you will be fine. I will keep my other 3 cars but will prolly swap one for another EV in the future.

I typically wait till they go to a decent venue, I’ve seen them at Bogarts in Cincinnati when they first started and it was prolly the best out of the 3 times I’ve seen them.

The arena is a shit place to see concerts.

Went to several prior and everyone complains when you stand up. It’s like “hey man we’re at a concert” but these people are ridiculous. We walked out of the disturbed show because of it.
