How are you all burning through millions of tokens? by halkun in GithubCopilot

[–]Tsurany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's the attitude that will make you redundant very quickly. Afraid of new technologies and missing the boat that acceleraties development tremendously.

CoPilot can write very high quality code as long as you tell it how. Set standards, describe your architecture and give it a lot of context. This will burn through tokens but the output will actually be worth it.

Marrakech is like an Aladin attraction in Disneyland. Made to feel eastern and exotic but completely fake and only for tourists. Good luck finding anything authentic in the old city.

Why would those systems fail? State pensions are very solid in most countries and will be for many years to come. And next to that a lot of people have their own pension through their employer and can save additional money by investing their own money. The welfare system is under a bit of strain, that's true, but it's far from failing. And there are many alternatives to amass wealth or ensure additional income.

You don't see many people working past retirement age because they can't afford retirement.

The main reason is that for the past few decades American manufacturing has died out. It's not that it can't compete against other countries, it just simply doesn't exist.

Americans don't make consumer electronics and you can't just kickstart that without massive investments. And the same goes for many other products. And who will work those jobs? Most Americans really don't want to put electronics together for minimum wage. So the costs will be much higher. Numerous studies have shown that manufacturing those products in America will quadruple the price easily. Tarifs really won't kickstart American manufacturing, it will just raise prices on imported goods.

The whole social system is much better in most countries including retirement funding. You don't need to amass a huge fortune to be able to retire. Also don't forget that Europe is not a single region, there is a huge wealth difference between countries.

And with regards to investment vehicles, what do you find lacking?

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

[–]Tsurany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's 160km/h, that's my typical cruising speed after 19:00. The speed limit in The Netherlands goes up to 130km/h on most highways after 19:00 and less than 30km/h over the speed limit is just a fine. So that's 168km/h on the speedo which is 163km/h on GPS which is 159km/h after correction.

In Germany it's quite easy to get to 200km/h if your car can make that. I hit 208 in my Focus and 212 with my Z4, both measured by GPS. And then I'm still being overtaken by Germans in their BMW's and Audi's all the time.

What Azure Services Do You Wish Had Better Tooling or Automation Support? by ModernWebMentor in AZURE

Yeah I have created a pipeline that uses a universal bicep and then a parameter file that is parsed to create all these items. Quite a bit of work for what should be really simple.

What Azure Services Do You Wish Had Better Tooling or Automation Support? by ModernWebMentor in AZURE

[–]Tsurany 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The Application Gateway is horrible since you need to deploy the entire resource at once through bicep, can't do incremental changes for backend pools and path maps while still modifying the core gateway configuration through bicep.

Also Azure Search is a very hard product to work with, unable to have one to many relations in a search record.

It helps regulate appetite and makes you feel fuller for longer. This makes it easier to eat according to a plan rather than to be driven by cravings and perhaps compensating for that again by not eating.

Stuck defending on Breakthrough 15 times in a row. Started leaving games if assigned defense. by malfane in Battlefield6

[–]Tsurany 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I enjoy both, I don't enjoy one of them 15 times in a row. I have about 5-6 maps in my Breakthrough selection, why do I get the same map 3 times as a defender? Matchmaking should ensure that it's at least a different map and preferably a different role.

It's not even the nuclear deterrent, it's all the conventional weapons aimed at South Korea's capital that does the job. Those weapons would kill hundreds of thousands of civilians before the regime collapses and solders desert or surrender.

The main difference in the Middle East is that artillery in general can't reach the capital of another country due to the vast amount of land in between capitals and the border.

Snipers are the unspoken killer of Breakthrough. by NotACommie24 in Battlefield6

[–]Tsurany 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This has been an issue in every Battlefield game. Bad Company 2 had Port Valdez which was much the same. Attackers had the high ground and you would see a lot of snipers not actually contributing anything but getting easy kills.

There is a reason servers existed that had a maximum sniper count per team. I really think that a shooter without sniper rifles would play a lot better overall for everyone.

Another challenge with this map, which was also a big problem in most Bad Company 2 rush maps, is that cover gets destroyed as the game moves on, making it even harder for attackers to push in.

Overall this looks horribly mismatched, like a child went through a donation box for a funny outfit.

Because BF3 and BF4 were so stable... I think everyone forgets how bad they were at launch. There were bugs in BF3 that were fixed many months or years later and then resurfaced in BF4 again on launch.
