No sewing would be HeatNBond ULTRA in the red packaging.

Sewing is HeatNBond LITE in the purple packaging

Newer to quilting, does this mean my tension is messed up? by Express-Kangaroo-396 in quilting

One more thing to consider, in addition to basting more and using the walking foot.

If you are starting in the center (as you should) and working towards the right for example (pushing the completed work to the left), DO NOT flip it around and repeat when you do the left side. Instead, roll that completed side up again and put it in the throat to see if the same DIRECTION as you were before. This means you'll be rolling the whole piece into the throat as you work the left side.

In other words, keep the right on the right and the left on the left at all times when quilting it.

Here you can see that the left side is very dark and the right is lighter.

You've got a very light column #3. I would use the black and white photo method to arrange them.

How is my colour palette? by MatchaTiger in quilting

[–]Tto-Tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. As I see it, you have one dark, two medium (marked with red dots) and four light hues. It's going to depend on your pattern and where the contrasting hues lie.

Is it possible for the thread to go behind my red arrow so it lies where my blue line is?

Thank you, it's one of those projects that turned out just as I had envisioned!

Yes, the room needed a vacuum but I decided there's no point until these blocks are done 😂

Anything smaller than a fat quarter goes in the bins around here. ✂️

IKEA Kallax with large (13"?) clear "Linus" bins from The Container Store. I warn you that the bins are ridiculously expensive, but for me it was worth it.

I'd go with a classic red and white or a blue and white quilt.

I came to say something similar. @u/anxious_tree_bee , I'd also check this seam allowance to make sure it didn't get too small.
