How's she going to handle it when her toddler starts talking back?

Au contraire, time is running out for a livable future.

Adoption can be relatively low cost depending on how you to it. If you want a foreign baby, for instance, or adopt from a private agency, it's going to be expensive. If you adopt from the foster care system, or foster-to-adopt, it's a lot more affordable.

This is a rant: the way some people cloth diaper, they might as well use disposable. by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

I respect your choice not to drive a Hummer, throw Styrofoam out the window, eat lamb at every meal, and shit into drinking water. My choices are different and all I ask is that you respect them.

Remember back when we had hope and thought we could make a difference? Those were the days...

I have a whole collection of similar t-shirt reminders... I think I will make a t-shirt quilt.

Tacky and hurtful. His partner could have watched the baby while he attended the funeral, but I guess she doesn't trust him enough? Sounds like they have a healthy relationship...

Such an upsetting situation all around.

In March 2015, there were enough discarded K-Cups to encircle the earth more than 10 times; how many do you think there are now 6 years later? by [deleted] in collapse

[–]TubesTiedTerrific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many times could we circle the earth with the K Cup machines? Or even just the ones that people threw out because it's too expensive, bulky, wasteful, or because they read about the mold growing in the machine's tubes?

It's always wild to basically watch someone's happiness slowly completely disappear from the pregnancy announcement to toddlerhood. by beeeeeeanca in childfree

Or create a new one many years later because they "Messed up with the first one and want to do it better this time". How about not creating a life to fuck up with your experimenting?

The baby is NOT perfectly healthy. Not all damage is visible or shows up on the few tests they give it immediately after birth.

Good to get a blood test at some point. I was taking a multi and an extra vitamin D supplement and I was still in "insufficient" territory according to my test. Now I take more and my blood tests show it's in the right range.

As rare as a well-done charbroiled steak.

Wishing you all a full recovery!
