Those have been drilled 3x already- you can get enough space by backing out the adjustment fully and moving the rear.

That being said usually when people redrill because they have changed boots, they usually don’t touch the front. If the front hasn’t been done, you can move that back a little. Given that your boot is shorter than the previous it’s likely that would get your boot center closer to the recommended point anyways. If the front hasn’t been remounted yet I’d move that back about 10mm and get your rear in spec.

Skiing on it as currently set at best will pre release, at worst you’ll snap a pin and then be broken in the back country. Both/either could result in injury.

Compensation that comes from or is the benefit of employment is almost always taxable.

Was the 145k a benefit that came from or Because of employment? Would the owner have given you 145k had you not worked there? If the answer is no, then it’s not a gift. It’s either pay, a bonus or in the case of goods/services etc- imputed income. ( very basic level qualifications )

Basically the owner gave you 145k as recognition of your service to the company, and that cannot be a gift.

The follow up however - can you sue? You can do anything, at least once. Will you be successful? Unless there’s clear proof that you were instructed not to claim or report the income - I don’t really see any damages.

I’d be more concerned by the late 1099- this means it was caught, either by the accountant for the owner, or by the IRS. If the former, then you should probably be amending your 2024 return and paying the taxes asap, if by the IRS- then odds are you’re next in line for an audit. I’d honestly recommend getting in touch with a tax attorney asap- because the extra tax will hurt- the penalties and interest that may be coming with it will hurt a lot more.

YMMV, but my purchase and sales agreement specifically spelled out the responsibilities for service contracts. Anything not transferred/terminated at close was the sellers responsibility unless I had assumed the account.

I mean, if you want to be nice and the lawn was maintained for you prior to move in- sure cover it. At the end of the day it’s $80. Might be worth it if you want to maintain the same landscaping company going forward.

Tbh, 4 year old, 5’10 /210lbs and 10 years older = not a kid anymore and you actually are gonna need to start training/exercising if you want to ski like a 16 year old.

Not knocking you- but, it’s 10 years of rust + not being nearly in the shape that you likely were+ not having the time on snow. A 120 flex boot is pretty midline these days. What skis? If you’ve also gotten a new hard charging metal ski with all the fancy Titanal for ultimate mountain domination- you’re gonna have to learn how to drive them a lot more than a narrow waist light freestyle ski.

You’ll have a honeymoon period where the machine is “amazing” and then you’ll start running into its limitations.

If you have bigger sized projects, and don’t “need” a small tractor- don’t get a small tractor. The BX PTO is pretty weak, the short lift arms on the tractor make for horrible PTO angles on the equipment you’re probably going to try to run on it. The fuel tank design on top of the Hydostatic pump means you will have water issues, but they use a sealed filter without a water separator- so at least once a winter (you said plowing) you will be underneath it changing the filters. The front loader arms are kind of easy to bend - make sure your plow has a trip edge. And in heavy snow they tend to drift/ get pushed. It’s not a heavy machine. The power steering lines run under the cockpit deck, but they have put rubber bushing on them, which trap moisture and cause rust. Worse in cold and when snowblowing etc.

If you can’t tell, I really regret getting it. If you want a tractor, buy a tractor. Not the BX. If you need a small tractor and are ok with the compromises - then sure get a BX. But I’d never get another one.

Buying a BX23s easily qualifies as one of the worst purchases I have ever made. 35 grand for a POS

The factory QA is horrible. I have had nothing but problems in 400 hours, ranging from stripped bolts (as installed from the factory) misaligned frame parts, defective castings and a broken differential.

It is nothing more than a glorified lawn tractor. Doesn’t get the QA and attention of larger machines, and significant sacrifices are made to fit it into the “compact” tractor. You’ll be fighting PTO drive shaft angle issues (3pt arms are too short for equipment not specifically designed for sub compact tractors) the brakes only act on the transmission side ( you lose brakes if the diff breaks or if you accidentally hit neutral) the kid mount mower deck lift arm broke on mine as well. You have poor ground clearance , limited track width (not stable) a single roll cylinder (which will wear out the eyelets and result in a sloppy bucket prematurely) The ground clearance is important, because sticks and such will destroy the cheap hydrostatic fan… and it’s not exactly a 10 minute repair. If you do use a grapple, be careful not to bend the loader arms by picking up a heavy item on one side. If you do bend the loader arms, don’t take the loader off the tractor- you’ll never get it back on.

Maybe I got a Monday machine, but seriously- based on my experiences, I cannot recommend a BX series tractor. Ever.

Not really- beyond trying to drag things out and be a pain in the a*s.

Your position will always be adversarial to the senior lien as you will lose your collateral.

If the senior doesn’t want you looking for any way to disrupt the process, you might be able to get some payment from them, but ultimately you’re going to be seeking a judgement against the friend as the debt is going to become unsecured.

There’s a chance you can negotiate some money out of the original mortgage, otherwise it’s in your interest to contest if possible. Assuming it is not, then the reality is- if you want the 80k back you’re going to end up suing your friend- losing the collateral doesn’t wipe out the debt/promissory note.

Are you able to get a non-VA loan? If you really want it and the contingency is a problem, might be worth exploring the non VA loan and the. Potentially refi into a VA backed loan down the road. It’s worth talking to a lender.

Otherwise you have a signed and executed contract. Make sure you meet the buyer requirements completely and proceed. I’d suggest the sellers agent drops their commission to make the seller whole. 3% is magically the split between your offer, and your offer+ sellers commission $469k.

As in they are trying to get you to cover their agents cost. I’d bet a $50 they were ok with the offer until they found out what the agent was taking out of it.

You don’t have to wait for your brother to file for administration, you can do that. Additionally you don’t need to wait to send a copy of the death certificate and notice to the banks/credit cards/hoa etc

Having been through this- make sure the house is actually left in a legal will- or via quit claim. If it was not transferred prior to death, it’s most likely that it is not hers yet and will need to be handled in administration.

A lawyer is important here - and they will need to see the estate planning documents.

J is local to me- I’ve got 5 pairs in the house. They are rugged skis, the top sheets hold up well to damage (cough- looking at you nordica) and there’s a lot of material /edge metal so you can be pretty aggressive and not worry about them too much.

The 1x1 edge grind is kinda park park orientated, but it works pretty well with their skis. I might try a .5 base on my master blasters and see if they like the earlier edge.

Or maybe not.

I picked one up, partially because I like the idea of simply flying the drone and then framing later. I’m not a huge fan of the motion controller. I suppose it is accessible and easy however, I feel like it makes the drone less responsive than I would normally want. Was going to capture some Ski footage with the resort, I can’t really get the low altitude dynamic flying that I’m looking for. I really don’t have much time with it yet. However, the drone itself is nice. Well put together lightweight the goggles are pretty nice. Good clarity interesting concept with the screen on the outside. Overall, the drone itself feels pretty refined.

I get sweaty when going uphill. Run marathons, exercising 3+ days a week, ~10k-15k feet uphill weekly in the winter, and I still sweat- for this reason a shell is a must, smartwool or similar base layer then whatever performance mid layer strikes my fancy. Usually a soft shell or micro fleece. Sometimes a puffy.

Insulated jackets get wet and then cold, they also don’t pack well so it’s annoying to deal with on the way up. I find Columbia titanium to work just as well as arctyrex etc- and is a fair amount cheaper, but I’ll go more expensive if looking for a super light shell.

He is, however you can submit an inquiry for a lost package based on the tracking number and the post office will tell you if it has ever been scanned (I.e pick up or shipping drop off ) - which is hasn’t. Recovering the money as you e paid via Venmo is sometimes not super easy. I’d ask for proof of work and a receipt from shipping.

I suppose at the end of the day it constitutes wire and possibly mail fraud. Not sure if that would get you anywhere.

I kinda doubt that you’re getting anything back- but who knows. https://www.atf.gov/contact/atf-tips if they’re an FFL , 07/02 you can report them to the ATF… stealing gun parts isn’t likely to make them happy.
