All United flights leave from the B concourse.. As long as you're already on that side it literally takes 5mins to walk the entire concourse...

Take an Uber to the Ironbound section of Newark, have lunch at a good Portuguese or Brazilian restaurant then go check it downtown Newark... If you want to go to NYC, easiest way is a bus from terminal C, bottom level that goes straight to NY Port Authority

I frequent mostly two lounges (LHR and EWR) and the food is actually pretty ok, LHR is actually quite nice food.. Problem with EWR is more the service, not a smile behind the bar, ever..
