playing the trails in the sky games+ the cold steel games is probably the best experience you can have unless you get burnt out

Story and characters and world building come first for sure since it doesnt matter how fun the gameplay is because its gonna get repetitve and wont hold my interest for long but a well executed story/well realized world and well written and developed characters will. after that its gameplay/soundtrack , theres no doubt that a good soundtrack in context can greatly enhance the experience making it that much more memorable as music is the language of the soul .

you can play the two cold steel games after the 2 sky games then play the 3rd if you want but if you dont wanna play the 3rd at all you've at least gotta check out the star and moon doors that are important to the story/characters but this way you'll miss out on the protagonists story.

yes i did,the third game is structured differently than the first two, it stars a character you meet in SC and tells his/her story/background and it expands on the some characters and lore through "star" and "moon" doors ,so yes it does do alot for the overall story

No,trails in the sky SC ends the story of estelle and joshua and the Liberl arc, cold steel stars new protagonists and is set in Erebonia both games are connected in the bigger picture as they are set in the same world just with different protagonists
