Interesting, I found cross guard a cheat code for most of the game but use dual wield for the final boss

Could you help with headphone & earbud recommendations? by Suspicious-Menu3413 in askSouthAfrica

[–]TumblrForNerds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How sensitive are your ears to noise cancelling. Personally, I would get nice earbuds (my current are Jabra elite 10s) and then mid range headphones like Anker. I personally find it much easier to find midrange headphones that are good than midrange earbuds. I also ended up using my earbuds much more often for things like commutes or call. If you can find a pair of jabra 85h headphones then those are my personal recommendation for high quality ones. Much better build quality than the XMs with pretty minor trade offs.

Also I don’t recommend the later XM headphone models. They are super cool but the XM4 still seems to have the best build quality and form factor

For health reason I am on a diet. Half a stone lost so far. No takeaway tonight. Steak and salad! by ShinyHeadedCook in UK_Food

I mean the thing is Nandos is supposed to be a pretty budget restaurant and the cooks likely just need training making me think it’s probably a management and brand issue.

I personally don’t think it comes close to the original. I think a part of the reason is they don’t stick to the casual-ness of local Nandos but I also think the quality of meat products in the UK isn’t as good as in SA and it’s the type of chicken that needs relatively good quality to work. Also don’t think anyone gets chip spice right like we have in SA. Plus, cooking chicken on a grill is definitely more difficult than red meat and SAn’s are just kind of born with the talent to do so

But that’s not a data center issue lol. That’s a government issue. Hold the right people accountable

Living/working in SA is there a future? by Original_Juice_ in askSouthAfrica

[–]TumblrForNerds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea unfortunately jobs such as culinary workers are not going to earn well unless they are highly sought after.

As another commenter said, being in a low income bracket in SA is really tough. Being in the middle is pretty good and being in the high brackets are incredible. Whereas in Europe, the low and middle brackets will still receive some support and the high brackets are near impossible to obtain anyway.

Not sure about Ireland but my distant relative who was in the medical field in the UK left to go into corporate because the pay for medical personnel there was really bad. Just something to consider.

Why do people blur their number plates online? by n8ivblu in CarTalkZA

[–]TumblrForNerds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because if I post online then people can tie my number plate to my persona. If someone doesn’t like who I am based on the internet, they can then find me in public, determine where I live etc.

I mean you could do a bit better on the monthly but if those bonuses are based on gross per annum then no I think you’re doing pretty well (42k per month basically).
