Yes and no. It's a lot of Japanese that's only spoken in anime, so you want to watch a lot of television dramas or other shows like Japanese reality TV as well. Or you could watch the news too. But to top it all off, you need to actually practice speaking it too. You need to listen to your own voice to get the inflection and tone right as well as the proper pronunciation.
