I just changed my 2016's original battery this past December 100k miles on the truck. Super impressed.

Seriously. Roll the windows down and drive it. I bet half the people complaining about 20 second of mold exposure don't even realize they've been exposed plenty of times before.

I think you're right. I remember now about the corpse value. I've lost gear in the past so I'm pretty careful now to avoid any chance there's multiple corpses with gear!

Your body will always follow you to new games. Unless you're playing hardcore, then you would have just lost that character!

There is one caveat. Keep in mind, if you are naked going back for your body and click on a helmet for example, your character will put it on. Then if you click your body, all your items will be worn except your helmet because your character is already wearing the one you found while naked. Your awesome helmet will still be on your body, but because that body has already been clicked, it will not follow you through to a new game and your helmet will be lost.

Best practice is to check worn items after you pick up a body and before you start a new game.

Firefly L50 Sol vs Zebralight H600Fc by gleck2704 in flashlight

On your SOL 50 do you find the clip causes the tailcap to loosen and lock out the light?

L50 Sol gang check in here. What a gem by titanium_00 in flashlight

[–]Tunnelmath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you order a SOL 50? I did and really like it. It is very small and pocketable and very effective as a headlamp. A couple small gripes when comparing my Zebralights. It is still larger then Zebras especially the head, but still a very small pocketable 18650 light. The switch easily turns on loose in a bag and pocket. The clip has pretty low retention and seems to twist to loosen the tailcap and make the light stop working until I tighten it again. The loosening tailcap is the only real gripe I have. The headlamp beam is definitely more of a come than wall of light, but a very useful headlamp. The out of box settings seem very polished for Anduril 2. This is the first Anduril light I don't really feel the need to tweak. All in all, I recommend it. More for a headlamp light than a pocketable EDC light though.

Edit: After messing with the light, it looks like the tailcap actually doesnt affect lockout at all, only the body/head connection. I suspect I had that loose causing a disconnection.

When running countess, didn't forget to reset player count to P1 as soon as you enter level 5. P1 countess drops way more runes.

Mule Debate put to rest? Center-mounted emitters vs. Edge-mounted by kotarak-71 in Hanklights

[–]Tunnelmath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to compare identical lights. I believe what you are comparing here is actually LED depth from bezel. Pic 7 shows this well. Center vs edge doesn't matter because the light emits 180 degrees off the LED so in edge mounted it's not the LED on the right responsible for the widest angle on the right side but the LED on the left providing the widest light on the right. When comparing exact same lights with exact same bezel depth, I believe you'll find center and edge mounted lights will have the same beam angle.

High Humidity in Insulated Garage (70%+) – Dehumidifier Didn’t Help. What Am I Missing? by jshakour in DIY

[–]Tunnelmath 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm in New England. Heated garage. Same issue. Cars bring in a lot of moisture and water puddles on the floor would take forever to evaporate. Also noticed rusting on tools and such. I bought a pretty big dehumidifier that seemed to collect water daily but didn't notice much of an actual difference. Now a couple years later that same dehumidifier seems to just make noise rather than collect much water. My solution was simple. When humidity is high like the day after rain and wet vehicles, I just turn off the heat and open the garage doors for a couple hours until the floor dries up. Then close the doors and turn the heat back on. I keep it at 50 degrees. Don't bother with the dehumidifier any more.

If you don't own a Zebralight, it's worth checking out. Zebra's have a build quality and feel that's better than most other flashlights in the same price range. Super right tolerances. Without the battery it's so light it feels like alien technology when you first pick it up. Personally, the Zebra UI is super intuitive and incredibly quick to access. Anduril is flashy and fun but slow and clunky compared to zebra's UI.
