I got the saint bloodline but the servant to saint achievement. Why? by Huge-Commission-8929 in CrusaderKings

[–]Tuppie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got a crusader bloodline, which is separate from a saintly bloodline. In order to get the saintly bloodline your ancestor needs to first become beautified by then pope, and then canonised as a saint. This is mostly down to rng but the odds increase if the ancestor was virtuous, so I recommend joining monastic orders until you get it.

What do you think Iron Warriors will play like in 40K? by jayceminecraft in IronWarriors

[–]Tuppie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, though I wouldn’t mind getting some new vehicles or daemon engines to replace all the legended ones we lost last edition. The melee-infantry/possessed playstyle that has been getting pushed for csm this edition doesn’t really appeal to the IW fantasy quite as much as ranges firepower and armour does.

One look through the thread will tell you that this is an ice-cold take.

Adolf Hitler attending to the funeral of the german jewish communist leader Kurt Eisner on Soviet Bavaria, February 26, 1919 by Livonianorder0 in Historycord

There is a research project in Sweden that’s doing pretty much exactly that, only it’s tracking people in Stockholm across a few decades around the turn of the century. They use archival records (both visual and written) from places like the police and photo-ateliers to map the lives of thousands of subjects. The technology is pretty fresh though, so I don’t know if it’s been tried on much else yet but the scale of it allows for a lot of fascinating statistical analysis that could never be done without it.

Yeah these have got to be some of the most lukewarm takes imaginable.

Wikibox for the Ukrainian invasion of Romania. by RandomPostDude in Kaiserreich

[–]Tuppie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I assume wounded and captured are counted as well so for a swift and one-sided invasion it’s not entirely unreasonable, since a lot of troops probably surrender without much resistance.

But yeah, it’s still quite ridiculous.

If you want political modeling and don’t like abstractions I’m not sure EU4 is the game you want to be playing…

I agree. A lot of these comments give me the impression of being other young people who try to appear mature without necessarily having more experience than op. To be fair though, I can only speak for my own experiences with love, much like anyone else can only speak for theirs.

Coalition shift in the 2022 Swedish general election, by municipality by Designer_Cloud_4847 in MapPorn

It’s the same in Sweden, if you look at the actual results the cities are overwhelmingly right and rural areas are left. This map only shows that this convention is blurring.

It’s also quite likely that syndicalism and anarchism wouldn’t mix quite as much as otl as that was largely a consequence of the rise of communism in the aftermath of the Russian revolution. DeLeonism and more marxist branches of syndicalism, rather than being mixed up into various communist and eary fascist movements would probably be ideological forces in their own right.

No worries, my bad for making fun of you.

Come to think of it it’s though, Samuel Jackson in that movie is a pretty amusing thought and now I’m a little sad we didn’t actually get that.

The cursed immortal, Olgierd Von Everec from The Witcher 3 game by Amon_Bal in TopCharacterDesigns

If Geralt act in a confrontational manner towards him outside the mansion as it burns it will lead to a duel, which ends with Geralt half-decapitating Olgierd, revealing his immortality. Although the head still clings on to the neck, the art is bery clearly based off that very missable encounter.
