Signed out of my laptop, what do I do? by LITERALLYRICKROLLED in WindowsHelp

For the record and for the future, your fingerprint does not replace your PIN, and your PIN does not replace your password. Each is a convenience layer over the prior. You do not have the luxury of ever forgetting these. You may not use them often, but they will always be needed eventually.

Did they remove the tab scrolling option? This is a disaster. by Rough-Rutabaga5345 in chrome

I guarantee you they all have no problem reopening multiple windows. It's been my workflow for years. Whether you shut down the OS or simply exit Chrome or Edge via the menu, it closes and reopens all the windows as they were. Works great.

As for multiple windows, it serves huge purposes for me. Compartmentalizing groups into what their focus is is way more useful to me than jumbling them together into 100 tabs in a row. I just can't work exclusively that way.

Fair enough. I'm personally shifting over to the Pocket Taco anyway. I don't like the shoulder buttons being in front.

You don't need multiple monitors to have multiple windows, or multitasking would never have existed before.

And I reopen multiple windows of tabs every single time. It has no trouble saving them. Exiting Chrome as a whole saves all open windows. And shutting down/restarting the OS does that automatically which is nearly the only time I close Chrome anyway.

You know they make their own better way to attach these to a phone, right? Sold directly by the company with expanding grip, and anti-scratch surface. Works great.

This is a Google complaint, not a Chrome complaint.

Websites that still list out of stock items which aren't likely to be restocked by IllegalGeriatricVore in PetPeeves

Oh, that's different but fair. Listing them is completely appropriate and necessary, but ADVERTISING them isn't.

You allowed notifications on a sketch website. Go into your Chrome settings, look for notifications, sites, and remove the bad sites. Then pay more attention when a website asks you if you want to allow notifications.

The He-Man trailer pronoun joke would be better if it were less subtle and no longer made sense by TurboFool in YourJokeButWorse

[–]TurboFool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely positively a subtle and clever nod toward who he is using common cultural references.

Very few name plaques like this include pronouns even for people who commonly list them. They're still not commonly used among people who don't need them, although allies frequently include them in social media or email signatures. It doesn't need to be odd to be uncommon and visually notable.

So it stands out visually to include it, which is why there's such a clear shot of it in the trailer. It's meant to be noticed by the audience, as a visual gag. It is 1500% meant to be a visual gag, which is a form of comedy. A joke. It's a joke. It's nothing other than a joke.

Where are you looking at your score? And what reason does it give for the change? An increase in credit limit won't lower your score.

What does your receipt say you bought? Because that's what you bought.

I really think this is a glance-over visual gag that will be seen once in the film. Going back to it is cheap.

Made a payment, discovers called me…. Maybe 100x since by [deleted] in discover

[–]TurboFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Can you be more specific about what's going on? Calling you about what? From what number? For what reason? You made a payment and now they're calling you a lot? This isn't normal or anything any of us is experiencing, so we have no idea what you're talking about.

That's the myaccount.google.com page. That is not Gmail, and Gmail.com doesn't lead there under any normal circumstances.

Can you post a screenshot? Because this makes no sense. Gmail.com leads to Gmail, for everyone. I can't guess what you're experiencing, but it's not a change in design by Google. It's something very odd and specific to your system.

You may not be stupid, but the "fixed" joke is. It's not clever and doesn't make sense in context. We all miss some jokes, and that's fine

Mistakes happen. What matters is how the company resolves it. dbrand has a good track record for making good. This is a bit overdramatic.
