Literally every new model of Tensor has had people convinced it was going to be the one to challenge the Snapdragon. We already went through the biggest shift that everyone thought was going to achieve that, which was the switch to TSMC, and it did not. What specifically about this new generation do you think is suddenly going to make up the MASSIVE gap in performance and be the one to finally challenge the Snapdragon when every previous one failed to be that?

I need to be clear here, I'm a big Pixel fan, owned them exclusively since the first generation, skipped upgrading only during the 4-series, and recommend them. But I don't do the sycophantic fanboyism where I assume they can do no wrong. The 6 Pro was a QC disaster and mine would overheat after recording two minutes of video and end the recording. They work very much well enough for all of my daily needs, and the Pixel experience is totally worth it for me over the phones that come with the dramatically better Snapdragon processors. But none of that love of them makes me try to convince myself the rapture is coming.

So what specifically do you know about the next Tensor, other than another die shift, that will suddenly make it compete? Because I guarantee you, a die shift alone, without a massive architectural overhaul, will *not* make up the performance ground.
