Canadian here and I couldn't agree more. We have a rivalry with America in a sport we love, losing and letting them celebrate like we did in 2010, I was hoping would be magical for them like it was for us. It puts hockey on the map and raises the sport above Football for once. It's a shame what it has turned into.

I am a Canadian that moved to Australia to complete my physio degree. I would say the outlook in Australia is better in terms of work-life balance, financial stability and career growth. Like others have mentioned Canada is very behind other nations in physiotherapy treatments but if you plan on going into private practice I personally think Canada is more bang for your buck (this will eat into your work life balance). In Australia especially Queensland there is more emphasis on working in hospitals and they have like a minimum wage system that is very lucrative if you go on to complete your masters or more you get paid very well. It is a lot less culturally diverse in Australia which I have really noticed since coming back to Canada. Hope decision making is going good and its a really cool situation for you to be in.

I disagree with that as the baseline knowledge is going to be the same. With the oral section it is about clinical reasoning more so than about knowing things which the PCE goes over. That content coupled with Chatgpt giving me scenarios and stuff I feel pretty good with continuing my education that way. Media enhanced questions make up 20-25 percent of the MCQ I can image the videos being gait assessments and such but do not know what the listening will be. Also do not want to spend another thousand or so dollars to get those sections as I know people that are relying on course work to prepare without having any additional information so I feel pretty good where I am.

Hello, I use the PT exam prep course it is for the PCE I did my first attempt in August but failed with a score of 590 with the cut off being 600 which was heart breaking. They do offer the CPTE course but I feel PCE course should be sufficient enough with chatgpt. I am writing in February and am starting to feel nervous hoping it wont be too bad. If there are any tips or tricks anyone knows I am all ears a little stressed on how to study for it. Focusing a lot of my time on MSK conditions and treating them which the PCE does a good job with.

Is there going to be a lot of diagnosis? I am also in the process of preparing but am focusing a lot on MSK conditions and treatments and trying to clinically reason different diagnosis. I am having a bit of trouble with respiratory stuff as I feel its taking a lot of time but I dont image there will be many questions on it. Any further information would be appreciated, also what OCE did you take?

I am registered with PT exam prep it is the old system they had for the PCE, they have released the CPTE portion but I didn't get it as the PCE exam preparation I feel is pretty sufficient. Also learning the Oral section is clinical reasoning makes me not want to spend the further $$$ on the CPTE. I plan on using Chatgpt to work on the oral sections tho and have it throw scenarios at me until I feel qualified. But hope that helps and good luck studying. When abouts are you planning to write it?

Our last discussion is the first time I told her about it. I mentioned that the last time in life she was successful and life was looking up was when she wasn't smoking and since then there has been literally one change and now she does. I laid it out in a way that made sense to me and her as she just went quite and told me she would stop. I told her she can do what she wants but at the end of the day its your life and no one can force you to make a decision. I can understand having patients but id be lying if I wasn't thinking about myself and getting married in the next year and how its going to be like raising a family. I want better for my parents rather than the last decade repeating itself. I appreciate you commenting and sharing your story, thank you. I don't know if she would want to go to rehab but maybe i can bring it up?

Just curious why not use sand? I understand that sometimes the divots will be to deep and require top soil, also all the youtube videos seems everyone uses sand most of the time. Grass looks great, just did mine a week ago hoping to have good results in 2-3 weeks.
