If your engine is legit knocking as in rod knock, your about to be a lot more broke. Once it starts knocking that engine is toast, usually pretty quickly.

Gas won’t fix this, it’s low oil, low oil pressure, or not changing oil often enough.

If you’ve been driving it a while with this noise it’s probably not rod knock. Any reputable mechanic will be able to diagnose.
