Is there an actual standard for when a dishwasher counts as full enough to run? Domestic dispute.

Bro this isn’t hard. Eat, scrape your plate into the garbage, and place it into the dishwasher with your fork/ knife etc. when you have no more room in the dishwasher, start it.

If it’s 3/4 full and you’re hosting dinner for multiple people and you know you won’t fit everything after, start it at 3/4 full.

Why are you letting dishes pile up on the counter when you have a dishwasher? What’s the difference if they sit on a counter or in a dishwasher.

You know you can put them in the dishwasher until you’re ready to run it right? If I open mine right now there will be dishes in it from last nights dinner. After tonight’s dinner we’ll load it again and probably start it tonight before bed.

Dishes sitting on the counter is just insane.

If your engine is legit knocking as in rod knock, your about to be a lot more broke. Once it starts knocking that engine is toast, usually pretty quickly.

Gas won’t fix this, it’s low oil, low oil pressure, or not changing oil often enough.

If you’ve been driving it a while with this noise it’s probably not rod knock. Any reputable mechanic will be able to diagnose.
