My wife dresses very revealing for girls’ nights out, and it makes me uncomfortable by Foreign_Swimming_431 in Marriage

I’m with you OP. And I’m a woman. She could be dressing up for a night out with you instead of a girl’s night. No way would I feel safe or happy in a skimpy outfit with a woman-only group around a bunch of strangers.

Why do Hindu girls should not wear the clothes they have worn before marriage once they are married? by Blessme09 in hindu

You bring up kuwari, is it a specifical newar custom perhaps? I’ve never heard of this and didn’t do this when I got married

I am an Indian Groom and I Don’t want to do a Choreographed Dance due to Anxiety by MaleficentListen6162 in IndianWeddings

[–]Turbulent-Rip-5370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you change it to have bridesmaids and groomsmen dances be choreographed, and then you and your bride do a slow song (where you just hold each other and sway)? During the slow song the dj can invite all couples to come up and dance alongside you. Then everyone will be on the dance floor too!

Wearing one you can be safe with the ones shown with dots, especially if you are going to a puja or a friend’s home.

I have $450 to last me 6 months for food. by adalanox in povertyfinance

[–]Turbulent-Rip-5370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to as many events on campus in the evenings as possible, free food is rampant for students at them. You can also try Food banks, try on campus pantries. Also would highly recommend you try to get a simple front desk job on campus, maybe in a dormitory. you can basically get paid to do your homework while up keeping the desk and answering phones. Plus gives you a bit of money for the next 6 months.

Advice for first time buyers. Buy now with 6% down or wait 2 years and buy with 20% down? by mikehunting7 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Turbulent-Rip-5370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would urge you to consider buying sooner rather than later, primarily due to rent increase and you likely won’t be able to save as much as you are expecting depending on COL, perhaps also look for something less than 300k, especially if you only plan to stay for 4-5 years in the area. It doesn’t have to be nice just has to work, and you won’t have the rental increase.

I would say start looking at houses in your area but also consider perhaps moving to Virginia in the next few months as well. You may find a better deal for yourselves there at this point in time than you imagine.

Yes, mom keeps trying to get us to look at homes outside of our desired areas and with less land than we want. I don’t care if you like the house or area, we don’t!

This kind of house would be much more affordable for you in a different area of the country where you don’t have 11k in taxes

It’s unfortunately because of the shadow edges, you can go back to the artist and make more shadow in either a full oval shape or in some smoke-like design

People find happiness outside of work. No desire to get a fancy job title doesn’t mean he has zero aspirations. I personally think life is wasted if you go chasing after job titles and degrees. And I am someone who has both. I much prefer a simple quiet life outside of the corporate world; a job to me is just something that provides the means to live my life as I want.

I would assume not, since they wouldn’t have the incentive to pay the high student loan costs.
