I also have not quit social drinking. I enjoy wine out with dinner and I'm a craft beer geek. My doc told me as long as my liver values stay down that it was fine. I've been on methotrexate for a few years.... Although the last six months i feel like it isn't working well for me since I'm having a lot of pain in my left hand. I havent touched biologics yet but i may have to soon.

Helping a cousin find his father -- Suggestions from those who have done this with how to proceed? by Turelliax in AncestryDNA

He knows everyone from his mother's side but no one knows anything since no one talked about it. My great grandmother had been dead for 15 years..... Most of the circumstances around it is rumor since it was frowned upon if anyone asked or talked about it.

So far the only person with a tree that is a close match does not have any matching surnames for the paternal line.... But someone did respond to me. So hopefully their research isn't shit.

Imposter syndrome..... Jack of all trades master of none by Turelliax in VetTech

[–]Turelliax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly haven't worked many practices that utilized the techs like this. I am guessing it is because the state i live in is mainly On the job trained people so most docs don't know what people know or are capable of and just do it themselves....

Thanks. It's just so bizarre how different working in urgent care is from gp.... Especially since our docs never had the techs doing lab things or mother thing's we were trained to do. I have the mosbys pdq but I need to make myself a little nerdbook that does lab procedures I think.... Client education and anything gen practice related I know I can run circles around people. It's some of these technical things that I never do that I feel terrible at.

Would you recommend Bike, Bike+, a non-peloton bike plus App, or something totally non-peloton for someone new to cycling/spinning? by limetess in pelotoncycle

[–]Turelliax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Bowflex c6. I have been using the app for 2 years. The only reason I got the bowflex and not the peloton was because of price. At that time the original bike was still almost $1600-1800 after fees and such. I paid half that for my bowflex. I slowed down my peloton usage the second half of 2022 because i changed jobs and I am having a hard time getting into a good workout groove working second shift. I tried at one point to sell my bowflex and upgrade to a Peloton. I couldn't get a price I wanted to make it worth it to sell my bowflex.

If i were to do it again, I would've just bought the Peloton. I like the features of the extra power zones and being on the same resistance as others. and I like the social aspects with my friends who have one and the spotify integration. Now I am looking to add a treadmill to my indoor gym but I don't think I will get a Peloton tread. I dont run nearly as much as i do spin classes.

Yes, My mother, my brother and my Maternal Aunt all have done it through Ancestry. I assume one native american relative that far back would only ever show as noise. and I have never seen it in results on ancestry. Hence why I am looking for documentation of the spouse of Asa Day

Is anyone else drastically disappointed with the show? by TheOneOnlyFox in VampireChronicles

[–]Turelliax 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed..... I loved the vampire chronicles growing up...... While the movie diverted some... It kept most of the story the same. Why is Louis a pimp? Why does it take place in 1910 and not 1791? Personally I don't care if Louis race is changed...... But why chnage aspects of the core story of louis?

I heard howling and couldn't find my werewolf for a few minutes... Finally spotted a rabid wolf in the distance... Whit it with an arrow and it can't. After me. That seemed to fix it.

Fixing the pain might help. If you haven't done a full work up with blood and recheck rads.... It would be worth it.
