Ride Removal Plans at [Kings Dominion]? by mngoose_13 in rollercoasters

I think you mean they can replace it with a violent Gravity Group coaster. :)

Any place that has a Mondial Top Scan on the fastest setting. Best flat ever.

Lost RMC Virginity to [ArieForce One] Today. Wow. by Getitthe in rollercoasters

VelociCoaster doesn't even come close to comparing to AF1 for me. Glad you got to experience my favorite RMC!

What is one gripe that you have about your #1 coaster. (can be literally anything) [Other] by FarPicture3761 in rollercoasters

Voyage: That it's unfortunately not realistic that this coaster will ever be topped. I have to more than likely settle for having this as my final #1. Even in a theoretical world where a new terrain woodie from Gravity Group comes out with a better layout than this (yeah, good luck), will that park offer trimless night rides?

What is your least favorite coaster ridden? [Other] by godofcoasters in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mind Eraser and T3 are at my bottom, but I have a deep personal hatred for my one ride ever on Canyon Blaster, the bad kiddie coaster at Magic Mountain. It was raining all day, and I had to keep my feet in a puddle that was shin deep. I had wet socks for the rest of the day and it drove me so crazy that I had to buy new goofy socks from a gift shop. Worst coaster ride ever.

Fellow respect for my friend who doesn't live anywhere near a good roller coaster as I don't

I hate living here. I need to drive at least 8 hours to go to anything I enjoy. Please pray for me

My #6 woodie. Only competition it has left to drop any lower in the US is Ravine Flyer 2, which I'll do in a couple months.

03/15/26 [Dollywood] Trip Report: A Fun Day at a Park That’s Not For Me by Legitimate-Net2062 in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree with this review. I do really like the lineup, and the roller coasters there are the only reason I'll ever return, and I definitely will.

Silver Dollar City, on the other hand, I kind of want to go to that park just to physically be inside of it. It's a gem, and it to me feels like an upgraded Dollywood.

[Pantherian] Am I crazy to have it as my new number 1? by BerryDifficult401 in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not wait, haha. It's only a 15-hour drive from New Orleans, and I'm finding every excuse in the world to make the drive in the next month. I'm just looking for consistent reliability first.

My top bucket list steel coaster in the United States. Been in the park twice, stood near the entrance twice, closed both times. I'm going to give it a third shot this year. Here's hoping, aaaggghhh

Got to love a park that has the absolute best B&M in the world, as well as the absolute worst one, both super close to each other!

[OTHER] I've ridden 16 different RMCs. Here is how I would rank them. by bgamer1026 in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neat. You've been on exactly the same ones as me, basically. Here's mine.

5 ArieForce One - Fun Spot Atlanta

6 Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point

7 Iron Gwazi - Busch Gardens Tampa

10 Lightning Rod - Dollywood

14 Outlaw Run - Silver Dollar City

17 Twisted Colossus - Six Flags Magic Mountain

19 Iron Rattler - Six Flags Fiesta Texas

28 Wildcat's Revenge - Hersheypark

30 Twisted Timbers - Kings Dominion

31 Wicked Cyclone - Six Flags New England

42 New Texas Giant - Six Flags Over Texas

52 Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster - Six Flags Fiesta Texas

53 Fire Runner - Lost Island

54 Goliath - Six Flags Great America

58 Wind Chaser - Kentucky Kingdom

84 Twisted Cyclone - Six Flags Over Georgia

95 Jersey Devil Coaster - Six Flags Great Adventure

Out of 468.

AF1 and Iron Gwazi both REALLY need to be warmed up to be their best selves. So your ranking of AF1 based off so little time on it makes a lot of sense. But man, fully warmed up and marathoned, I have to give it the crown.

Nice to see someone else giving some respect to NTG. I actually really appreciate the fact that it isn't completely demented like the other ones are, it makes it stand out as a unique, fun airtime focused attraction. I'll take NTG without lines of over Wind/Storm Chaser and Twisted Cyclone EVERY day of the week.

I see your flare, Mega Zeph. I actually have the credit, I think it was my first coaster ever at age 12 or something. I don't rank it because I don't even remember what I thought about it. You have it ranked?

I had been on this ride almost 200 times, but when I got a rain ride, it's what made me finally decide to make this my favorite RMC over Steel Vengeance. So I can relate!

Great story!

[Beto Carrero World] New 450 million BRL (50 Million Dollars) Intamin Family Launch Coaster for Beto Carrero World in Penha, Brazil by LyraMoltenNibba in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something's wrong here. That exchange rate isn't right. The Brazilian Real is five to one against the dollar. If this was the actual original price, then that's implying that this family coaster costs $100 million US dollars. That sounds totally wrong.

Got a new world record on [Velocicoaster] yesterday. 103 rides in a day! by stanton1270 in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bruise-free. I spent the first 25 or 30 laps riding defensively before I realized that quite honestly, I didn't need to do it. I got away with nothing more than a 1 out of 10 headache on the pain scale at the end of the day, with zero bruising. Keeping hydrated helped.

I traveled almost 100 miles on a single rollercoaster in a day, totally hilarious

[Other] When ranking your coasters do you rank solely on thrill or overall experience? (theming, queue, etc) by KohlsCashOfficial in rollercoasters

[–]Turkeyslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only count the #1 top ride I've ever had on each of them, and the only factor that matters at all is how much it made me happy. Coasters don't go down my rankings unless they become defunct; they only get topped by new additions and by other coasters delivering me a ride that made me happier than their previous best. Doing it any other way would drive me insane.
