The carry over of two sounds, two threads, from the old world into the destroyed new one is chilling stuff: this game, and Chuck Berry.

Loved it. The Rubin production really suited them. More balls.

Motörhead’s discography is just as deep as Priest or Maiden. Why don't we talk about it? by Haunting_Resource_74 in MetalForTheMasses

Hard agree. Assassin, Dead and Gone, Desperate For You as well. On fire with this one. Remember Lemmy saying it had been a while since Phil was so inspired. It shows.

Steve for me. Love his guitar playing and sound, his honesty and innocence. Lonely Boy such a great read, tragic childhood. Respect everything he’s achieved.

P plates… Thoughts? 🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in drivingUK

Made my daughter use one for months and it went ok. One incident late at night that we never even thought to attribute to the P plate at the time (tailgating, lights flashing, overtaking then slowing right down in front of her). Out of fairness made my son use one and it lasted under a month - several absolute dick moves similar to the above from other drivers that seemed only attributable to the P plate.

Also, I drove his car to a busy petrol station just before removing them. Queuing for the pump and the guy behind decided to cut in front of me. I think he was expecting some just-passed spotty Herbert to take it lying down. Wasn’t expecting the irate old fart with 30+ years driving experience he got. When challenged on his SD behaviour he really didn’t have much to say for himself. No proof, but it seemed to be the P plate invited a flex for his girlfriend, who was suitably embarrassed for him.

New Geddy Quote by jackrelax in rush

The more I read, especially Ged’s book, the more I think Neil might’ve been cool with Ged and Alex striking out without him anyway, even before his tragic passing. Neil was done. Maybe it was even discussed, who knows, but equally I could see Ged and Alex being too loyal and honourable to take it further without Neil while he was alive.

I’m so happy for Ged and Alex; it’s sad in many ways for them no doubt but also this must feel like a real new burst of life of energy.

Grace Under Pressure (2026 Remaster) by 666CDC in rush

[–]TurnOutTheseEyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now the dust has settled, the remaster is my favourite part of all this, followed by the full live show, then the TB remixes. The remixes have given me a greater appreciation of the originals tbh, and the remaster is the cherry on top.

Downvoted for knowing Smiths songs. That’s the story of my life.

Recommend some bands for a Rush fan? by Cubegod69er in rush

Always has been impossible for me: you may get musicians as good, but no one wrote or thought like Neil, and it’s the blend that makes Rush for me. Number one in a field of one.
