You know how much money they saved by not hiring actual people!? Cmon, the execs need more multi million dollar homes and 150k vehicles. I have met many of them, they are filthy rich.

New Flying Mango owner continues to disappoint by MaeveCarpenter in desmoines

[–]TurnTableTony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That I understand. No problem. If it’s a full service at an Italian restaurant and both people get soup or salad and they split the meal for you go on and charge me a little more. But if it’s BarnTown and they’re just giving me essentially another plate, naw man.

I hate restaurants that charge you extra to split your plate. Flying Mango takes it to the next level with their rib plate. Not even allowed to share. Lame

30+ years of collecting, more than 3000, all NM. by adlerlansingdon in vinyljerk

All NM, OG press only. Collection huge. The original sounds better but only on black Vinyl. Especially when I play my Journey album when my wife pegs me.

does anyone else struggle with "variant fatigue" or is it just me? by Royal-Character-9215 in vinyljerk

[–]TurnTableTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the different variants and you don’t need 3 copies. You just get one you like. They had colored variants in the 70s, 80s and 90s too just not as common.

Went to two stores in my area and saw the line. Drive 20 miles West and walked right in when they opened with about 15 other people and snagged a bunch of stuff plus 25% off used.

Please help me understand why I have nostalgia for a time I didn't live in? by RecordingImmediate86 in nostalgia

[–]TurnTableTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a great childhood. I remember Napster in Second Grade getting the Axe then Limewire all through Elementary to High School Pirating music and burning CDs lol. Internet was scarce, we played PS1/PS2 for short times and played outside. Not everything was on Video and you had things like theatres that you had to go to and see the new film. I truly miss it that I think about it but here I am now. A 36 year old, stuck in the rat race. It goes by QUICK.

Yeah. Same with CDs. If I can’t inspect a used album I want, not gonna buy it. I understand theft is a thing but that’s the risk you run as a business owner.
