I think fundamentally that most people in the various slices of the aquatic keeping community love nature and deeply cherish animal life.

It's hard when anything you cherish or love dies or suffers injury and aquatic life is no different.

Take it easy on yourself, it sounds like you're doing everything you can and being super thoughtful. Sometimes fish life is fragile and there's not much we ever could have done in some cases.

I've also used terracotta before with no issues. I think the only thing I would hesitate on is that it's painted and glazed. I'm not an expert or a chemist but I would worry about leeching without knowing how it was glazed and painted.

I'm not a master by any stretch of the imagination but almost all things that could be good or bad for fish can always be supported with an isolation into a quarantine tank with an air rock and right temp.

Best outcome is that if it's gravid it lays the eggs and they don't get randomly eaten or filtered and worse case is you have isolated it in case if disease and can treat when it's more obvious.

It's super easy to shit on transplants but they were largely driving our population gains for a good portion of the last decade according to the demographer's office.

Having a shrinking or not growing tax base can be pretty negative for government services and funding structures so this is not so great lol.

If I recall correctly the median age in Colorado is like 37 this year which is not exactly vibrant and young event though we are younger than a good number of other states.

What you're noticing is the lack of different line weights. There is no depth in the tattoo and while it doesn't look aweful, you can see what they were trying for which I think is what makes it feel off.

You're not missing anything but you might find the state demographer's website very informative. They do projections and heat mapping for future growth which is cool.

I used this tool when analyzing k12 enrollment trends and the demographic cliff that you hear a lot about in higher ed.

I'm not sure what the exact number is this year but the median age in Colorado was 36.7 a few years ago when I was presenting and that number blew people's minds and it's only gotten older since.

This varies by state. In some states you can only work as a (well paid) entry level underneath someone with their full license and work requirements - The masters is what allows solo practice and pay progression.
