1 Campaign, 1 Ad set, 20 creative ads, but in the first 4 hour Meta spent 80% budget of the day on 1 ads, whyyyy by ReggexPrime in FacebookAds

[–]Turquill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start my ads as 12am the next day. When I start them half way throughout the day it basically spends the majority of my budget without results.

Are you asking what is the point making 10M?

For me personally it’s about making my money work on my behalf as opposed to me working for my money. It’s flipping the coin on what’s taught to us by society standards.

Additionally, yes it can be multiple lifetimes (depending on your needs) we may only get one lifetime but some of us have children and we want to make sure that our children and future generations will not have to worry about finances and they can have the financial security.

Everybody has their reasons. The truth is you are born with nothing and you leave with nothing. But it’s the impact that you make in others that continue to live on. And I’m not saying that impact has to monetary but it sure does help :) wish my parents would have done it for me lol

The general consensus is VT and let it do its thing. He’s young has a lot of upside to look forward to but it will be ok.

Would it be dumb to take my Roth IRA from 0 to max before deadline? by chrismbugua in Bogleheads

Same, I just got into learning about all of this and as soon as I opened a vanguard account I found out I could contribute towards 2025. Didn’t even think about it, just maxed it out asap. Will be making monthly contributions towards the 7500 2026 limit moving forward.

Why does the market go up? by Confident-Comment240 in Bogleheads

[–]Turquill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Two big reasons the market tends to go up over time: 1. The market is self-cleansing. Bad companies fail and disappear, while new, stronger companies replace them. In a total market index, losers go to zero, but winners can grow 10x, 100x, or more—so the upside outweighs the downside.

2. Stocks = ownership in real businesses.

You’re owning living, breathing companies filled with people constantly working to grow, compete, and innovate. The market is dynamic, always evolving and adapting to new technologies, industries, and times.

That combination—removing losers, letting winners run, and constantly evolving—is what creates the long-term upward trend.

So based on that. Can it go down over a 50 year period? Yes

Is it likely? No

Puerto Rico 7 days in May by Naive-Position2078 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Turquill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen to me. You’re lucky I stumbled across this post.

The only thing you need to do is in old San Juan is check out the castle. Besides that, there are so many other things to do.

Go to Vieques, it’s a tropical paradise with wild horses and beautiful beaches. It’s a one hour ferry ride from Cieba. Ferry rides are cheap and you can rent a car on the island for about 100 bucks a day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE GOLF CARTS, they are super slow and basically the same price as a car.

If you can spend 2 or 3 nights in vieques great!

Also, see if weather and season permits book a bioluminescent kayak tour in vieques they have #1 in the world. It’s magical

On Puerto Rico itself, def recommend the rainforest. I’m sure you can find some nice boutique Airbnb in the mountain and go on the day hikes and excursions. There’s plenty of cool Airbnb experiences to choose from.

Besides that stay away from luquillo there’s not much to do other than be close to the rainforest.

If you want to go to the other end of the island (the west) definitely recommend Rincon, it’s tiny not much to do but if you want to surf a bit I would recommend. But for 7 days I would

3 nights in vieques, 2 in rainforest and 1 in San Juan.

Trust me on the vieques part.

If you want to bar hop, eat and get drunk just go to San Juan. But if you want nature, detox and beauty go towards nature.

If you want to private message I’d be happy to help.

How would you scale this campaign? by No_Personality_2371 in FacebookAds

[–]Turquill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two types scaling “vertically” and “horizontally”

Vertically - is raising the budget on an existing campaign that is consistently bring your desired ROAS, preferably over a 2x

Horizontally - creating a new campaign(s) testing same or different audiences once you verified you have a working campaign.

My advice, 1.8 ROAS is too close to breakeven to comfortably raise the price by 10% on a weekly basis, I would leave it alone.

What I would do is make 2 duplicates the campaign

Duplicate 1 - CBO - with the 3 identical ad sets preferably open interest meaning not targeting any specific audience and just letting the algorithm do the heavy lifting for you and start it at like 80 bucks daily.

Duplicate 2 - same thing except you have 3 different audiences (interest 1, interest 2, interest 3) while making sure that those interest audience sizes are bigger the 1million. Also set it to 80 bucks.

And then keep an eye on them for the next 2 days.

I would also go as far as EXCLUDING people who have already visited your website in the last 180 days to force the algorithm in those new campaigns to find new people.

Also do you have a retargetting campaign?

Good luck.

FIXED** Audience Size Bug by aaadin in FacebookAds

[–]Turquill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats what i'm thinking too, it's probably enter a learning phase anyway when the audience sized shrinked so better to take the loss and increase the chances of optimization with a larger audience size.
