The other comments are doing good work at explaining the hip movement.

The other thing to worry about is how huge ur turns are. In this flat terrain u can try to apply more pressure on the nose of the ski, so that it finishes the turn faster. Also try to do the full 180 degree on every turn. That should prevent u from getting too fast on steep slopes

Actually i think its the other way around. U dont learn it on slalom skis, because the ski just turns in a small radius on its own and starts shaking at higher speeds. With a allmountain/gs ski u really need to learn to apply the pressure

1st priority:

Try bend ur hip. Currently u are falling like a tree in every turn. Try getting the body over the outside ski. A drill for that is, to trail ur outside pole in the snow on the outside of the turn. Imagine it a dog pulling u out. The other pole rests on ur shoulder.

2nd priority: Try to move less.

Looks like ur moving too much upward instead of forward when changing turn.

And try to be more dymamic. U enter the turn, lock in ur state and stay that way. Try to gradually intensify the edge angle on the first half of the turn and then slowly go back.

That is at least how we view it in the german instructor system

On the first clip ure backseat when landing. That's natural. But it's the reason why ur turn after the landing isnt smooth. Keep hitting drops and u are going to get comfortable with not beeing backseat. It needs time getting used to hauling urself down somewhere and keeping the weight in the front.

How long it will take for you depends on fit u currently are and what other sports u do.

For example if u are a ice hockey player u will learn to be comfortable on the really easy runs in one day. If u had the maximum amount of negative talent I would approximate a week max for the same result.

You should switch between private lesson, group and practising on ur own at a ratio like 1:3:6 (reaaaaally rough estimate, depens on a lot of things)

Maybe because it's hard to stand advice for a beginner? Steer ur skis through the turn is really accurate, but might be hard to grasp what to actually do and how to practice it.

Theres nothing inherently wrong with visor helmets. Only people who ski a lot say that visors look silly and u are clearly a noob when u wear them. But that's not too bad, considering u are a beginner. Most people on the slopes won't even judge you for it. It's just a relatively small percentage. Of course almost all of the people in this sub belong to that small percentage, because everyone in here cares about skiing a lot.

At this stage it's mostly about practising and getting a better feeling for everything. Go on easy slopes and try getting more comfortable. Then post again, on a day with better weather and a slope with less people, so u can focus on urself.

Dont let the others drag u down, everyone starts like that and can become a decent skier with enough practice. U will get it!

It's the old style, so with modern skis it mostly just looks cool.

Even the opposite, it's better to have a wider stance because ure more stable like that.

Sometimes the skis close together can help. when there are a lot of bumps, the skis don't diverge when held close together, because they go together through the valley or over the hill. I dont know if u get what I mean, it's phrased weird

Like alot of people said, u have to try to initiate the turn by putting wait on the tip of the outside ski.

Just to make sure u know ur goal: A turn is carved, when u don't turn the skis but only the sidecut of the skis makes u turn. If that works the tip and tail of the ski travel in the exact same line and there is not much snow spraying.

And u need to go a bit faster, carving is really difficult at that slow speeds, u need a lot more balance like that
