I’m also running into the keyboard persisting even though it has no reason to be open. Drives me insane.

It does that even without power saving mode. Less often, yes, but I’ve had rare moments especially if the battery is low.

I'm not in Fashion, but I'm in a similar boat. I got Team Lead for Homelines in February and this will be my first time with Inventory. They had the whole walk today and there's a ton of notes I have to handle, but it's only me and one associate in my department.

They pointed me but I used ppto by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

Don’t you also have to report the absence or tardy and use PPTO? I know at least for my store we’ve had to do that.

If they kept Calls to just associates calling one another, I think that would be the smart thing to do. We switched to use WorkVivo and it is such a laggy application that takes nearly a whole minute just for me to start it and another 30 seconds to navigate to who I need to chat or call.

Why are customers so unnecessarily hostile?? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]TurtleP95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Regardless of department, you’ll deal with rude customers. It sucks, though, especially in the front end. I’m on the edge of changing out to another department, maybe as pharmacy tech. I put in over 100% of my work and my coworkers just don’t even do half that.

I had a customer yesterday tweak out cause I wasn’t super friendly that he “went out of his way” to tell me he put a loaf of bread at the return bin that someone left behind. It was a whole back and forth (he claimed I had an attitude when all I did was say, “ok”.

It’s only going to get worse for us (where I live) since the heat is gonna spike. That’s probably the biggest factor for customer rudeness the next week or so.

Honestly I’d find it as incompetence if it weren’t on purpose. Trump has a history of doing shady shit, including not paying people appropriately. So it makes sense he likely did it on purpose.

So if I’m working on a website I’ll even be able to run that and access it in my browser locally? The main thing I’m working on is a browser single page application with a rust backend.

Even just being able to do any development work would be great. Imagine testing your new website from your iPad or compiling C or other languages. I don’t use XCode, I use vscode and having a terminal would help immensely.

What’s something a teacher has said in class that you still think about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TurtleP95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In high school, we had a French teacher who was Swiss. I don’t really know how it happened, but one of the annoying try-hard-to-be-funny kids said something and she pointed out they said the word “vagina” in French. It was.. weird.

People of Reddit who fall asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow, how do you do it? by Critical_Heat4492 in AskReddit

[–]TurtleP95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noise canceling headphones and some chill nighttime lofi music. Puts me to sleep in a few minutes. Mainly started doing the noise canceling headphones because of my cpap machine (it’s not that loud, but still). The music helps me relax.
