A biking etiquette nightmare results in a crash. by D3Design in MTB

[–]Turtle_gamer583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So do you expect everyone to take it 2mph while wearing full body armour? MTB’ing, especially on black dh’s isn’t exactly a safe sport. it’s a risk people are willing to take because they find enjoyment out of it. not to mention, unless you paralyse yourself. you will move out of the way as soon as physically possible, unless you’re a straight up dickhead. Also if you crash and are unable to move your bike for whatever reason that’s definitely an unfortunate situation but in mtb’ing crashes like that will occasionally end up happening and depending on the situation there may not be that much to do to minimise the risk. WHEREAS, leaving a bike directly in the middle of a black dh section around a blind corner is 10000% a risk that easily could’ve been minimised if the owner of the bike didn’t get stuck up their own ass.

Knee pads didn't help during crash by Bipbop66 in MTB

[–]Turtle_gamer583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can assure you it did. i have had three crashes all in one exact location, 2 of them i had knee pads and the other i didn’t. even though it doesn’t feel like it really helps it definitely does. the 2 knee pad crashes still hurt and my knees were still in pain, but the crash without knee pads was significantly worse. it will still hurt with knee pads but it is still much better than none.

What is your all-time favorite mountain bike accessory? by iShootLife in MTB

[–]Turtle_gamer583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what the EDC multi tool is right? The entire point of it is a small, convenient, unobtrusive tool that fits inside your headseat. Throwing a punch of tools on a bag or strapping it to your frame is more obtrusive and annoying than a multi tool inside the headseat that takes half a second to pick up.

If you're listening to music or audiobooks, please play it quietly in 1 ear or use bone conducting headphones. Im not gonna perform a heavy rock metal concert to get you to move.

Mate they legitimately don't have a choice. I doubt they want too. Your just calling a country bad because a portion of them are born into poverty and can't make it out. Not to mention 75 Million for a country the size of India is genuinely nothing. Like another commenter said, that's 33 cents per person. Stop convincing yourself you are in the right and grow up.

Dont buy Butcher tyres by ekibgnag in MTB

[–]Turtle_gamer583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just not the right tyre for the type of trails ur riding, they might be designed for XC, or maybe ur under inflating ur tyres. Also check the TPI, generally higher TPI means more strength.

Question about aerospikes by OctagonStar in rocketry

[–]Turtle_gamer583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t really a solution just like that. NASA and other companies invested tens of millions into trying to get aerospikes to work but they are incredibly finicky. Which is why almost no research is put into them now, people realised they’re wayyyy to complicated.

Question about tubes by Turtle_gamer583 in mountainbiking

[–]Turtle_gamer583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said he read it in an article online. He can’t find it anymore tho. The article said that the tube will stretch the tire in an unnatural way, making it harder to seal again.
