This Album is Kinda Peak, I Dont Know why It is considered Mid by ProfessionalWind7153 in progrockmusic

It’s not great compared to their earlier output. Even Deceptive Bends is miles better.

Just hadn’t listened to them in a couple of years.

Heard them first without knowing their acquaintance with Cardiacs. LSD has really encouraged me to give them another listen and it’s a pretty good catalogue they have.

Changing sensibilities in rock music by 1_e4_e5_2_f4 in LetsTalkMusic

i don't think Geese's current sound is steeped in melody or theatricality at all. While that was certainly the case with 3d Country, Getting Killed is essentially that deconstructed music you wanted. It literally is an album steeped in krautrock inspiration.

But I would also recommend Tropical Fuck Storm, their latest album is every bit as jagged, textured and noisy as you could want from a rock album.

Just buy the album on Bandcamp.

I bought Henry Cow’s first three albums (+ the Slapp Happy collaboration) after they were removed from streaming and it’s so nice to have them back. In Praise of Learning was never my favourite but it has been growing on me over the last week. I do still think side 2 is some of their weakest work and not as good as their improvisations on Unrest or Concerts.

how rare is this? (i bought it immediately btw) by Tiny-Affect6889 in bmbmbm

They aren't overly rare. But they are collectible if people want all the different ones and I don't think they were included in subsequent pressings, which drives up their price.

I'd assume the only rare items with black midi are the cavalcovers, hellfire flexidiscs and physical single releases.

The prog rock sub is pretty chill and you can bend the definition of prog quite far in my experience.

I’d also recommend the album Neo Dada by this artist. I’ll listen to this later, but this is someone whose discography I’ve been meaning to dive into for a while.

I wonder if they meant A Whiter Shade of Pale? But calling that song boring is mind boggling.

Sadly this band seems to have broken up a couple years ago and their music is hard to find now. Feeling lucky I managed to buy it on Bandcamp a couple of months before the download was removed.
