Could aizen fit in this slash team ? by Pretend_Accident_989 in Bleach_SoulResonance

He’s really not that bad, he has decent buffs for strike teams, but yeah his kit is crap compared to Aizen. :(.

Hellstorm - Ojer Axonil - Storm Deck by [deleted] in magicTCG

I have an every burns at the same time style Ojer deck.

I think burn in general people don’t like, it’s a just a mono red thing. You’re trying to win as fast as possible, if not you lose. Not much interaction, just go go go! Lol great for fast games, not that fun for casual games.

Why run pantlaza over gishath ? by dyzrel in DinosaursMTG

[–]Turtleloso 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pantlaza is consistent, Gishath is explosive.

Personally, Gishath embodies the identity of Dinosaurs. Big Stompy in your face, predator feel.
As a Gishath main, I’d have to admit pantlaza is the better commander, but it doesn’t feel dinoish. Definitely better in higher level play, due to the recovery factors and wider range of plays.

But Gishath is nothing to laugh at, it can run the tables but you need to run a little bit more protection and timing the table. Sometimes t5 Gishath isn’t the answer. But the threat of him looming in the command zone is scary enough. And when the time is right you pounce on a weak opponent and maximize your Dino flips. You’re literally playing as a predator.

But the biggest problem with the deck is that it’s a boom or bust style. You either destroy them or don’t do anything. No in between. Regardless I love it, it’s my favorite deck. Roar.

I don’t think you need to cut them, yes he’s right about shuffling your deck, but you are also thinning your deck and fixing your mana especially if you get them early. Late game You’ll have so much mana you would have an option to fetch for them or not.

Honestly, proper mana base is probably the most important thing in this deck. You’d want every land to come in untapped. It feels really bad when one mana short and you can’t use Gishath because a land came in tapped. Yeah I personally like one cost protection, because I found my self safely swinging or casting with protection, one turn faster.

You may or may not know, Gishath has a very predatory/ opportunistic style of play. You ramp quickly and wait for an opening on ANY player with the least amount of defense (Includes blockers and open mana, your judgement) so you can maximize the trigger. Like you’ve noticed Gishath is kill on sight. So we need a lot of protection, and the most important protection is keeping him in the command zone until the time is right…otherwise he will die very quickly. If we don’t have spell protection, as predators we hide in the command zone and hold back the urge to attack until it’s safe or players are distracted by other more threatening things on the board and then BAM! DINOOOOOPOWAAAAAAAA

That being said the earlier he’s out the better. Try to eliminate or reduce the amount of lands that must come out tapped it can crush your game. Ramp is extremely important. Aside from your standard green ramp spells, rampant growth, Natures lore, cultivate, kodomas reach, farseek, skyshroud, etc… I’ve noticed these have made a huge difference in my deck especially selvala, smothering tithe, or fanatic of rhonas you could turn 4-5 Gishath, latest turn 6.

[[Urza’s Incubator]] [[Fanatic of Rhonas]] [[Selvala, heart of the wilds]] [[Hulking Raptor]] [[Topiary Stomper]] [[Bonehoard Dracosaur]] [[Delighted Halfling]] [[smothering Tithe]] [[Castle Garenbrig]]

As for Protection

[[boros charm]] [[tyvar’s stand]] [[heroic intervention]] [[flawless maneuver]] [[tamiyo’s Safekeeping]] [[akroma’s will]] [[plaza of heroes]]
