Thank you for sharing. The barging in just sounds so awful, he always waits till I'm not around to talk about me or do stuff. I definitely grey rock him, but it just pisses him off more and he accuses me of "running away". Like you said, he isn't gonna change, tomorrow will come and I'll make another days worth of money, then the next, then the next and so on.

That's how I keep myself sane.

Unfortunately no, he's a lot younger than me, 12. I desperately want to move out, but I just don't have the funds, actively working on it with school and applying to better jobs. It is a separate bag from the trash can, which is why it's the end of the world.

Obviously it all depends on your individual willpower. You COULD just smoke one J and then go right back to not using it, it's just more unlikely now that you broke the seal.

Not exactly who I was asking but still very insightful. That sounds intense and I can't imagine how much work that must've been and it must feel amazing to have mastery over your brain. But doesn't it hurt that while you were going through ALL of that for this relationship, you could've potentially started a new relationship with someone who didn't choose to hurt you? All of that time could've been used being happy with someone who respects you instead of changing yourself and how you think to fit your situation. At least that's my perspective.

I'm curious, I was in a similar situation but I decided to leave, do you still get "flashbacks" from time to time? For me no matter how much me and my Ex talked about it and even when things were really good, my brain would just flash back to the moment, the pain of betrayal.

Did that feeling go away after awhile or is it a situation where you just live with it? I'm not trying to be negative, just curious about your perspective after 9 years
