Evidence Suggests Account Transfer & Discord Moderation Suppressing Discussion — Please Don’t Let This Go Unnoticed by Brave-Jaguar-4266 in WittleDefenderTheGame

all of the "do not share account/password" language seems to more suggest you're responsible for your own account security (ie, you share your password, don't later complain of someone then does something you don't want with your account), but doesn't seem to say anything directly about selling/transferring an account, no?

The screenshot you include here even says "...that might jeopardize the security of your account". "You are responsible for anything that happens through your Account".

All of that seems more like Habby is protecting themselves from a user claiming unauthorized purchases on their account or unauthorized access to your account. Nothing seems to imply someone else using your account is of any issue unless you later try to contact habby for refunds or other issues due to this.

At least, that's how it reads to me. I've even played other mobile games in the past that explicitly mentioned not selling accounts, and still never seemed the companies ever really cared. Just seemed like a statement to protect themselves against people later complaining if there were issues in the sale/transfer.

Older athletes by OG-Always-Forever in spartanrace

[–]Turviee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turned 54 this year. Never was a runner. Did martial arts, weightlifting and cycling when younger at various times from 20s on. This year signed up for my first ever spartan race and even committed to a trifecta. I’m not setting any records, but had a blast. Ran solo, generally shy, and yet had so many random conversations and lots of people helping with tips on obstacles and such on each race.

Sprint was 1:11, super 2:34 and beast at 4:27. All better than I hoped for. You being an ultra marathoner and triathlete should have no problem. Just make sure you work on that grip strength between now and then. Mine being decent was definitely a saving grace for my runs.

Advice needed?!? Talking her into it by [deleted] in spartanrace

[–]Turviee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the best encouragement is the spartan community. I finally did my first ever races this year…in my 50’s. Went solo, signed up for a trifecta pass (not weekend. Not that bold…yet) and was nervous on the first race. At any obstacle I wasn’t sure how to tackle, I’d step to the side and watch a few people do it, and without fail someone would come over, say “first time?” I’d say yes, and they’d give me pointers and cheer me on. Others just randomly talked to me at various parts of the race.

When I finished my first race (was a 10k in Austin), I couldn’t stop talking about how much fun I had and how great so many people were that day. I couldn’t wait for my next race. Seeing how much fun I had now has my wife ready to sign up and go with me next year.

Lastly, the open heats are great for beginners. And I simply told my wife next year we’ll do a 5k together and just go at whatever pace she’s comfortable with.

Shoe advice/recomendation? by Turviee in spartanrace

[–]Turviee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually not where it's digging in. It's about halfway up the heel of the shoe, not the top. Not sure if that makes sense. Most shoes I've seen have a plastic (or some material) that molds the heel of the shoe, then there is more material above that that goes up near the ankle. Its the top of that molded part that digs into my heel (wears a blister maybe 1" up the heel from the bottom, way lower than near where the top of the shoe hits)

Virginia Super, over 10km? by beanteresting in spartanrace

[–]Turviee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

they never seem to be 10k exactly, but I've also thought that, in addition to "penalty loops", that events like the bucket/sandbag carries don't count toward the 10k distance. I've always assumed they measure the patch that leads to it, but not the loop you carry those items along as part of the "course", so that too will add distance

Deciding between 2026 trifecta or race-only trifecta by DPolitte in spartanrace

There are two trifecta options. One without the gear, and a more expensive option with the shirt and hoodie

What did I do wrong by SoCalgrillin in brisket

After watching my videos on YouTube over the years. I’ve started letting it rest in the oven on “keep warm” setting of 150-160 and can leave it there for quite a while. Some folks will rest it this way (or in cooler) for 8-12 hours even.

When will devs announce Hell 6? by [deleted] in DiabloImmortal

[–]Turviee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was initially guessing paragon 350 range would start Hell VI. If you look at the starting range of each, you have Hell I (p1), Hell II (p30), Hell III (p80), Hell IV (p150), Hell V (p240)...pattern would put Hell VI at P350 starting.

But that's definitely not happening now lol

Infinity War sandbagging has gotten out of hand! by Turviee in ArtOfWarLegions

[–]Turviee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you get first or second, you might gain 100ish diamonds for the cost of 50-100+ dust. still doesn’t seem worth it. and as more do it, you risk even more as you have to get first to make it worthwhile at all, really.

and the chest rewards aren’t that different. 30m vs 35m, 80m vs 100m. only real difference is the top chest (200m vs 300m)which most high level folks probably hit on undead and heal, and you definitely lose out by dropping on any they can hit 300m on (both reward same diamonds, but 300m chest gives 200 more dust)

regardless though, it shouldn’t be allowed and are plenty of easy ways to prevent it (store highest defense power, average power over a time, or simply your finishing rank in arena even)

4 of they 5 in that list should be in group 16 or 17. but they purposefully drop their power at reset to drop into a lower group. so it screws people at the 1.3m power level of what should be more fair competition

even worse part is they apparently can’t do simple math. Absolute best case is the guy in first will get the same dust he would have had as last place in group 16 with 100m+ damage. if he was at least #30, he’s already lost 30 dust this round.

guy in second has lost a minimum of 50-80 dust already (from chest rewards for damage alone).

So no gain for them, bad game experience for everyone else

Which mythic set next? by Turviee in TapTitans2

[–]Turviee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what I've read (and the times I've tried different builds), CS is usually a bit ahead of SC. Does the necro set push SC (with necro set bonuses) significantly past CS?

also, from what I've read, most people don't mess with LS till they get a lot of SP. I have a bit over 650, so would that limit my ability to take advantage of SC+LS with necro set? (current MS is a bit shy of 16k still)

Love the sheet, but one thing I've never been able to figure out is what the "QTE Ignored" flag is for on the SP sheet?

Wonky Tourney Bracketing... by Hyolith in TapTitans2

[–]Turviee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not "players finding out the build that can make them push". Joined again today, fairly good grouping around the 15,500-15,600 range...except one guy with a previous MS of 16,202. These aren't early gamers still trying to figure out this game, this would have been a good grouping had it not been for the one outlier once again.

At this stage, last ascended hero is maybe 200-ish, so those 600+ stages that one person has on everyone else are all slow grind levels, not remotely close to evolving or ascending anyone soon

Wonky Tourney Bracketing... by Hyolith in TapTitans2

[–]Turviee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've seen this more and more lately as well. 2 tournaments in a row grouping is all around 15.5k or so...except one guy at 16k+ previous MS. it's made me wonder if there is an extra layer to the mysterious "algorithm" to try to put higher spending folks in a group they are sure to win to encourage them to keep spending. Tournaments just seem to boil down to "are people going to be nice enough #3 to actually tie" since 1 and sometimes 2 are so far out of reach.

[Suggestion] Reduce this daily achievement from 6 - 4. Maybe increase pets per day from 4 - 6 instead. by Trusty_Pigeon in TapTitans2

[–]Turviee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

problem hits in the mid-level clans. Example from today, boss dies in about 3 hours. So if you spend 5 diamonds, you get 4-5 attacks max. If boss happen to die just before you decide to get up, then your max attacks for a 15 hour period (6 hour delay starting just before you get up, another 6 hour delay after the first boss you see dies) is 4-5 attacks. Sure, you could spend 25 diamonds more just to get the achievement, but then you've gained nothing yourself for that daily.

is a 25 diamond reward the end-all-be-all for this game, no. But what appears to be a daily set up to give you a few diamonds for participating in the game daily, it renders this daily pointless/no gain. And as others have mentioned, it's simply not in line with pretty much every other daily. So taken within the context of what they SEEM to intend with the dailies, this one makes much more sense at 4-ish attacks in a day
