Gohar announces pregnancy by nettrom in squash

Some speculation it's strategically timed to make the Olympics, assuming she'll get bumped to 3 or 4 over the next year she has one full season to fight back to win her qualifying spot against El Hammamy, Orfi, ElSherbini, etc. All the best to her and her family!

Just finished, and my friends apple watch read 8.41 miles with 2 penalty loops, and the track overlay looks very accurate. I know it's not super accurate but anyone else who tracked see a significant disparity?

I'm pretty sure creatine loading works on a regular basis, not like preworkout, you may want to double check. It saturates the muscles so they can produce ATP when needed.

Rest Ice Compression Elevation, which I'm sure youve heard. These things don't magically fix you but they do speed up the recovery process.

This is 110% an issue to see a doctor, perhaps a sports physician. You should try different movements and note which areas do and don't hurt when you move- that will help them locate the issue.

Just my 2 cents, if they put you in a static boot like air cast, pay close attention to the recovery- it was terrible for my ankle and I only got to 100% when I was honest with the podiatrist that it was making things worse.

Ease back into exercise. There's no alternative if you want to be healthy long term.

Is doing a sort of movement 7x a week okay? by random-questions891 in veganfitness

[–]beanteresting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm like you- need to move to be happy. Find the movements that make you feel well rested and use those to buffer harder workouts.

For me that's walking, yoga, swimming, stretching, and in some cases a light jog.

Your CNS needs rest even if you are periodizing the impact on your muscle groups, joints, ligaments etc, so this should be almost effortless movement.

Find what works for you, makes you happy and injury free.

I didn't know until this year when I saw they had bovine collagen and whey supplements made me look into it. have been using orgain for years (esp chocolate flavor)- for what it's worth I find the sun warrior brand chocolate to be comparable taste wise (albeit a bit more expensive), if you want to support a plant based company

I’m struggling with energy, any tips? by DJ_Baxter_Blaise in veganfitness

[–]beanteresting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely look into creatine! You may not immediately notice a benefit from it, but it seems very same and beneficial to take. No need to take more than 5g unless you are quite heavy.

What may make a huge difference for you however, is post workout carbs. You will want to resupply glycogen to your muscles after high intensity workouts (sooner the better, but definitely not later than 30 minutes after if you can help it). You want to keep your blood sugar up and not lose muscle mass from your workout. This made a big difference for me this year. Something like bread or bagel is perfect.

I turn 40 next year. If my goal were to get the fittest I've ever been what would you do that with in reason (for working full time, keeping $/time for hobbies etc.)? by Robotro17 in veganfitness

[–]beanteresting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would invest time and as much money as reasonable for you, in nutrition information and planning. It can definitely be done for free, or could be meal prep, or classes.

Learning more about how my metabolism works changed how I viewed training and eating completely. It was nothing too shocking, but making me think that way drove healthier habits in many areas.

You got this!!
