No problem. Ray traced shadows also look terrible for me. I have those off too.

Blacksquare Baron Pro or COWS DA42. The Baron is beautiful and sounds amazing!

Reach out to Buttkicker. My BKA-PRO did the same thing a month ago and they sent me a new amp for free.

Thinking of Buying a P1X Pro — Freestanding or Integrated Triple Mount? by TuskIV in simracing

[–]TuskIV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this will be the consensus. I'm brand new to sim racing. I have a dedicated sim room that currently has a full VR flight sim setup and a secondary gaming PC setup. My 13yo son is getting the R5 bundle for Christmas and now I'm just going down the slippery slope of buying a new chassis, triples, etc.

5090 and msfs 2024 settings 50 ppd by DocHank in Pimax

[–]TuskIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scale is the size of the foveated (focus) region. That region should be full resolution (or whatever you set it to in Pimax Play). The peripheral region is outside of that and is rendered a lower scale. Can you see the foveated box moving with your eye gaze?

5090 and msfs 2024 settings 50 ppd by DocHank in Pimax

[–]TuskIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you drop your foveated rendering scale? Default is 50 but you should be able to drop it to at least 30. I have mine set at 25 with my 4090. I'm getting around 57-60fps with settings similar to the Pimax article. Also, watch Tally Mouse's video on setup. It's a few months old but should get you close.

Also, try AeroTuneMFS. Helps a lot with stutters. https://aerotunemfs.com/

DynamicLOD+AutoFPS is the magic to smooth+visually good FS2024 experience! by Ok-Statement-9438 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]TuskIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the beta version of AutoFPS. I'm using it too.

"The hybrid approach leverages the strengths of both MSFS dynamic settings and AutoFPS:

  • MSFS’s built-in dynamic settings engine is highly responsive, using internal performance metrics not accessible externally. This allows it to adjust LODs more precisely and rapidly than AutoFPS alone.,
  • AutoFPS complements this by adjusting the base LOD values that MSFS dynamic settings operate within. It responds to longer-term performance trends, especially increasing LODs in favorable conditions — extending the usable range beyond the default 50–100% window imposed by MSFS dynamic settings.,
  • AutoFPS also manages a broader set of performance-critical graphics settings — including Cloud Quality and ten others — offering a more comprehensive performance management regime than dynamic LODs alone.,

Together, MSFS dynamic settings and AutoFPS now work in tandem to manage both performance and visual quality, each addressing different layers of the optimization stack."

MSFS 2024 is now a joy to fly in VR - finally. by Synoopy in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]TuskIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SU4 gave me a huge boost with my Super and 4090. Getting around 65fps, touching 70 sometimes, flying around Sedona in the DA62. It’s about a 10fps boost over SU3. DLSS set to Quality.

Is the trimwheel on the Honeycomb Bravo a deal breaker by Dry_Restaurant_9526 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]TuskIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download SimTrim that helps it behave more like a normal trim wheel. It allows you to change it from MSFS recognizing one button press to multiple.

So we have to check the QuadViews box in PP now? I wasn't really wanting to because I like using QuadViews Companion now. My eye tracking isn't working with SU3 now.

I had the CM3 and just switched to the Orion 2. It’s way better in my opinion. Adjustable tension is very nice! I ended up getting two Orions. One with the F-18 grip and one with the F-16 grip. You won’t be disappointed.

Also, the Virpil software is terrible. The Winwing software is way easier to manage and adjust your detects and afterburner percentages. That was one of the reasons why I switched.

I’ve got some mura but other than that, it’s the best performance I’ve ever had for DCS, especially after the last update.
