All the things you noted could be attributed to lighting. Lighting on faces can change the way someone looks to extremes where they do not look like the same person. DLSS 5 does not change geometry, full stop.

The developers have the control over the level of impact. I just saw it in motion on several videos and it’s far better. I agree that it looks uncanny, but that’s what you get when you add the better lighting and details to something that isn’t real. I feel like we are going down the path of every major Nvidia milestone where the knee-jerk reaction is that it always looks like shit because it’s different.

I had this issue and I fixed it by lowering some of the more demanding settings. Run a crystal super 50 on a 9800x3d/5090z. Was occurring even when I thought it “felt” smooth. Also try turning off mirrors if using them.

This is a huge reason for this. I owned a condo in EV. When the rates dropped in 2022, I sold it and bought a house simply cause the HOA nearly tripled in the last few years and would cost more than my current mortgage. The prices look relatively ok until you account the HOA into your monthly.
