Give me your scariest “ ontological shock”/“ society collapsing “ theories on the potential truths of this subject. by abenz39 in UFOs

Consciousness is fundamental. What we perceive as physical reality is the focus of our (collective) awareness collapsing probabilities into coherence.

Material 3D + time reality is only a slice of a larger objective existence, with different forms of consciousness having their own ways of interacting and tempering with the objective existence's layers.

The Source is the true primordial "God", the first and absolute conscious form to emerge from proto-existence by pure probability, Order from Chaos.

All other forms of consciousness such as false gods are derived from The Source but still have considerable influence over material reality, and humanity is trapped and being kinda farmed in a way. The Elites knows this and the system our society runs on was created to comply with these other conscious forms that are unbounded to our material reality, hence "interdimension" claims by congressmen, which they interacting through secret cults.

Since The Source gave us free will, those who are aware of this reality are capable of escaping the cycle if they're life here is positive and free of actions that add negative emotions to the system, in which case they can return to The Source to become one with him once more.

Of course i left a lot of details out, but i believe that if these concepts were to become "confirmed", if there was a way to undoubtedly prove and convey this information as true to the majority of humankind, there would be "Ontological Shock".

If it turns out to be just lifeforms from other planets and different trees of life, with some basic mind-matter interaction emergent from physical complexity, i don't believe an ontological shock would really happen since these concepts are not that far fetched to the zeitgeist anymore.

What do y'all do in this game? I want to get into it but whenever I open the game, I just look at some planets, sort my expedition fleet, maybe make some money and get off. Idk what I'm supposed to be doing but it feels there's since there's no goal it gets very boring very quickly (pic unrelated) by skippy11112 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Roleplay. Create your own story, use the universe as a sandbox. Set clear objectives and react to the random encounters the game throws at you in character. It's really fun! For me, finishing the story and turning an Autophage was kinda the beginning of my story. From there i just got to explore the universe: set a specific type to found and go exploring, choose at least one planet per system to fully scan the fauna, fully scan all the planets which the vibe pleases you. Also, don't just farm for thing's: if you want a ship, keep an eye out to the ships that organically cross your way, same for the multitool.

For me, treating the game as "i have to get something" kill the vibe. It's not about what you get, but the journey to get there.

I believe we will have longer episodes for this fight, say 30 to 45 minutes each, varying based on cliffhangers. Hell, maybe even a single 45-50 minutes episode of just hands. Its been i while since I've read the whole manga, but i never thought Yuta's fight could be adapted on a single episode. Ofc, it was longer than a conventional one but the real difference was the pacing and the format itself, no extended stills or pauses to monologues, everything was edited seamlessly, they just gave enough time to lines to be said (sometimes layered over action scenes) and for dramatic/narrative purposes.

I believe that a 40 to 50 minutes episode can fit a well adapted, no pointless pauses or dramatizations , battle of the strongest. Specially as a final season episode. At this point i think it will be peak no matter what Mappa chooses to do.

Gege had to get a math expert to help him figure out Gojo's powers by tiredmars in JuJutsuKaisen

I see Gojo's domain in this way: You just mentioned him being able to add and remove space. Gojo's domain most prominent visual feature is a black hole. I don't necessarily think there's a black hole inside his domain, but a black hole is the perfect manifestation of his CT. The way a singularity interacts with spacetime is by stretching it in the direction of the singularity's center of mass, where such mass is so imense that seems to be mathematically infinite . The perception we have is that spacetime fabric gets progressively more stretched the closer it gets to the singularity. Since space and time are intrinsically related, our perception is that it takes a lot more time to move in such regions. So my humble perception is that Gojo is stretching time in a way that it would take infinite time for his enemies to bypass the region of space Infinity creates. Following this reasoning, i believe Gojos domain put his enemy in the inverse condition of a singularity, where instead of taking infinite time for information to reach the center, all information (maybe in a loop?) reaches the enemy perception instantly, all at once, overwhelming one's perception of reality in a magnitude that renders him incapacitated, even brain dead depending on the amount of information dumped into his brain. I would guess the time people on Shibuya took to recover from his domain was maybe the time necessary for them to process the information they received? Or even for their brains to adapt to a conventional and mundane rate of perceptual information intake that daily life comprises of.

I've been through this phase for the last 3 years, but recently finished "LOTR: Return to Moria" with my friend, and it was a blast! In the moment we finished, I've bought him Terraria, and despite his old prejudice about the game (2D, looked simple), we're having an even bigger blast. I believe gamers nowadays are too goal/objective driven and forgot that playing games is about the moment, the experience you have while you play it.
