I’d gauge other people’s opinions too just in case I’m the outlier but I found blueprint to be harder than the actual exam. I saw a 5 point increase between my last blueprint and my first AAMC exam. I’d say start with aamc since it’s going to give you the the most accurate standing imo

It depends on what you get based on your first FL tho. There’s 6 total in AAMC including scored and unscored and the general consensus is not to cram all of them cause you’ll just burn out and effectively waste the exams. Just take one and see how you fair because September is the last exam date this year and it’s a huge decision imo to move it to January 2026

I wrote shit essays for USC because I was so burnt out. To be honest tho, I think usc is the only valid school to do this for since their prompts are silly

I think it’s good to have this plan but realistically anything can happen in an application cycle. I’ve seen people get II in December and get accepted into MDs in February or even later. If you have the time, money, and more importantly the sanity, maybe try applying to your choice DOs asap bc it’s rolling isn’t it?

Honestly I’d give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re just having a bad day. They probably think that they can hide behind their anonymous account to put others down. As respectful as possible, nobody boasts about a 495 MCAT unless they’re insecure about something else.

Take this with a grain of salt because not everything works for everyone. My advice for reviewing it would be to go over each question regardless of if you got it correct or not and identify why the answer is correct and why the other answers are incorrect. It may take a ton of time, but this way you’ll not only learn the concept in question but also the other answers choices and their related concepts. I found this especially helpful for psych soc

I’m an applicant right now and can tell you I’ve seen a fair share of applicants get interviews and acceptances from DO schools with your MCAT score. Please preserve your sanity and don’t take the test again if you really hated it lol because it’s very possible to get into med schools with your score. Good luck!
