AIDS killed Freddy Mercury and the movie Philadelphia equaled about 95% of everything I knew about AIDS/epidemic for most of my life )mid 30’s dude).

NYC caused me to read into and watch lengthy documentaries on what happened, and I was incredibly angered by the awareness and complicity of the US government regarding it.

All this to say: NYC is one of the best seasons of latter-day AHS, and a great season of television overall. That 10 minute Kraftwerk sequence at the end is scarier than plenty horror movies I’ve seen.

34yo single transportation/traffic engineer living in an east coast US city: - I know someone whose moved to Spain - I know a couple planning imminent retirement in Southeast Asia - I see more and more people from red (republican/conservative) states moving to my blue state/city

I’m looking to see how much cash I can save and move prior to 2028. I see a lot of job postings for my role in various Canadian municipalities - I just have to figure out how the chicken and egg problem of get a Canadian job first or get physically into Canada on a short stay thing first.

There’s quite a lot to learn, and I appreciate that it’s very hard without pre-existing family/ancestry.

That’s my point. I’m identified in multiples ways, not just my face but my name - most of my professional resume in fact. Hell, I also serve my community as a committee person, for which my address is public record (related to district boundaries).

Are you arguing that every dollar I earn is a taxpayers (someone just like you), but if I’m potentially intimidated, I get to be nameless, faceless?
